Every year thousands of people come and discover the charm of the nightlife of Krabi, and get enticed so much so that many keep coming back for more. It would not be totally inappropriate to call Krabi "the laidback corner of Thailand", which offers some of the kingdom's most beautiful and plenty of natural attractions for the tourism. However, to say that there is a serene or rather callous air about Krabi does not mean that it is boring. Nightlife in Krabi Thailand is a livewire and far from being laidback.

The nightlife in Krabi, Thailand starts when the sun kisses the horizon. The fantastic and active crowd starts gathering at the pubs and bars to have a nice time and cherish a couple of drinks during the evenings. Since a majority of tourists to Krabi are looking to go away from the hum drum daily lives and have a peaceful time. This means that the ravishing nightclubs or wild parties that are a common feature of Bangkok, Koh Pha Ngan or Patong, are not much in demand over here. At Krabi, Phi Phi Island and Ao Nang are the most happening night time destinations. They are highly preferred as well.

There are a number of karaoke bars around Soi 2 and Sois 7 and 11 of Maharat Rd. in Krabi town. These places comprise a significant part of the nightlife in Krabi. Hostesses can be invited to join the table for a drink and maybe a song. The atmosphere in these karaoke bars is quite perky and refreshing and it is a good place to come irrespective of your gender. The tourist clientele is usually quite mixed, with couples, singles and groups of friends. For the singles, nighttime entertainment in Krabi can be found mainly in Krabi Town and in pockets of Ao Nang Beach.
