The U-Tapao International Airport is a busy airport in Thailand and operates lots of flights. The airport serves as the gateway to the city for the foreign tourists. It is one of the well known transport options in the city. Air travel is one of the possible modes of transportation to Pattaya.

The U-Tapao Airport in Pattaya is located not very far from the main city center. It takes just 30-40 minutes to come from the city center to the airport. Various transport options are available. It is nearly an hour drive from U-Tapao Air Force Base.

The U-Tapao Airport links the city with other parts of the country and abroad. It operates receives daily flights to and from Samui, Phuket, Siem Riep, Moscow and Incheon, as well as charter flights from several other European cities. Bangkok Air operates two scheduled flights a day from Pattaya to Samui and one to Phuket. The flight time takes approximately one and a half hours. There is also a daily flight to and from Siem Riep in Cambodia. Korean Air operates flights three times a week to and from Incheon.

U-Tapao International Airport is the home of the Royal Thai Navy First Air Wing. The airport consists of a simple terminal with refreshment facilities, customs and immigration, money changers and an information desk. Taxis are always available to take you to the city center of Pattaya and other destinations.
