Phuket FantaSea:

If you are traveling family and especially children, you must not miss this show at Kamala Beach. The show comprises performances by 50 elephants and other acrobats in elaborate costumes. The show commences with a buffet dinner. However you can also buy tickets for the show only.

Nature Parks:

To spend some time seeing animals go to the Phuket Zoo at Chalong Bay. It houses quite a variety of animals. The authorities also organize elephant show, monkey show and crocodile show several times a day. You can also visit the Gibbon Rehabilitation Project near Bang Pae waterfall. In Thailand people often take snaps with cute little Gibbons. But when they grow up, they are rehabilitated at this place. You can also visit the Phuket Orchid garden and the Phuket butterfly Farm.

Temples and Monasteries:

Phuket houses around 30 monasteries and temples. Among them the most attractive one is Wat Chalong. Among others are temples that specialize in herbal medicine such as Luang Pho Chaem and Luang Pho Chuang. These two temples are also famous for healing injured people in the 1876 miners' rebellion.

Museums:

It is advised to visit the Phuket Sea Shell Museum in Rawai. It displays a collection of over 2000 types of Sea Shells including giant clam, rare golden pearls and fossils from all over the world. The Talang National Museum on the other hand displays facts and memoirs and artifacts of the history of Thailand.
