The game of football as it has attracted and mesmerized millions all over the world simultaneously it has spread its charm over the City of Ho Chi Minh. The Vietnam Football Federation churning out ace players since 1992 is the ultimate forum which supports the burden of promoting the football culture all over Vietnam including the Ho Chi Minh City.

Most of Vietnam’s prominent and well established football clubs are established mostly in the City of Ho Chi Minh. To name a few we have Saigon Port team, Customs team, HCM City Police team, Industry Department team. Saigon Port team had originated soon after the liberation day and is 30 years old by now. Saigon Port team also known as TMN-CSG.FC has had a taste of both victory and defeat in unison. Saigon Port team was eliminated from V-League in 2003 and continued to play in First Division standing. Other wise it is a well trained team wining silver medals in numerous matches and specifically in the 23rd SEA Games.
