Ho Chi Minh City is the economic and cultural heart of Vietnam. As the largest metropolis of Vietnam it wears many hats: including that of its economic capital, industrial centre, historical capital and that of a cultural trendsetter. It is best, to time your visit according to the festivals of Ho Chi Minh City. This ordinarily busy city gets a new lease of life during festival season. It colorful festivals are a must watch if you have nose for the exotic. The Tet festival that is held in late January or early February is a fun time to visit. Its other festivals include:-
