All guest villas in the Apollonium Resort are equipped with full self-catering kitchen facilities. In addition, every villa has an LCD TV with satellite channels, and a private patio.

Apollonium Villas offers a private beach, where boats are available for guests’ use. There are facilities for tennis, table tennis and mini-golf, and there is nightly entertainment during the summer season.
The town of Akbük – meaning 'white bay' – is 8 km away. There are water taxis from the Apollonium’s private jetty to the larger town of Didim where there are numberous restaurants, bars and clubs.

Direct flights from the UK and Europe to Bodrum-Milas airport operate primarily in the summer season (April to October) with indirect flights via Istanbul operating all year round. Journey times to the complex are 50 minutes via the scenic (mountain ) road or 1hr 30min via the main road.
Direct flights from the UK and Europe operate all year round to Izmir (Adnan Menderes) airports which is a 2hr drive via motorway and main road.

FURTHER DETAILS INDOORS
The owners dearly want you to enjoy your stay at their property and have put together a Renters Guide to assist you. This contains instructions (in English) on how to operate the dishwasher, washing machine and other electrical appliances (that are all in Turkish): a guide to nearby Akbuk, with a street map showing restaurants, bars, cafes, supermarkets, baker, butcher, petrol station, ATM's, bus station, weekly market etc. The guide also contains information on local sightseeing tours, bus timetables and boat trips together with airport transfer and car hire rates.
FURTHER DETAILS OUTDOORS
The complex boasts 6 outdoor swimming pools (all with a children's pool for the small ones), one indoor (heated) pool with jacuzzi and one Aqua Park pool with water slide & chute. The use of the indoor pool and fully equipped gym are free of charge but there are nominal additional charges for the sauna, spa treatments, Turkish bath, tennis, table tennis and mini-golf.
There is an onsite reception area where you can find local tour information, bus timetables etc as well as the Renters Guide located in the property giving details of local restaurants, supermarkets, banks/ATMs etc. The onsite Byblos restaurant serves both breakfast and lunch menus plus an evening a-la-carte service with nightly entertainment during the summer season (customers are charged). Plans are afoot to introduce a BBQ area and general pupose restaurant for summer 2010. There is also a large bar and terrace area where you can sit and watch the glorious sunsets over a refreshing cocktail.
The large communal gardens beyond reception lead down to the sandy beach and the private jetty where daily boat trips aound the local bays and the water-taxi to Altinkum depart. Limited water sports are available from the beach during the summer including both banana and ringo rides (customers are charged). The gardens themselves are equipped with sun beds, large sun loungers and parasols and a drinks service is available from the main pool bar.
There is a children's play area complete with slide, climbing frame, swings and ride-on animals, plus an outside chess board for those wishing to tax their brains. During the summer season there are a number of daily activities such as archery, aqua aerobics, petanque (boules), water polo and kids face painting etc.
An onsite mini-market is open during the summer stocking everything from breakfast ceral to toothpaste, beer and wine plus that all essential sunblock. A free wi-fi service is available in the main communal building and two internet PC's are available in reception for a small charge.
The AKBUK / BOZBUK AREA
Akbuk (meaning 'white bay') is the nearest town some 9 kms (15mins) away by car (a public bus service also runs to/from the complex), boasting a number of restaurants serving both Turkish and international cuisine plus a number of bars - most with entertainment - and a nightclub/disco. It also houses a number of supermarkets, a small post office, pharmacy, butcher, baker, petrol station and ATM's (where you can draw Turkish Lira, Euros and Pound Sterling cash), plus several gift shops and stalls.
There is a weekly market every Friday where you can find everything from fresh fruit and vegetables to local home-made cheeses, honey, olive oil, spices, fish, clothes, shoes and lots more for you to practice your bartering skills !! And If you men have never experienced a Turkish haircut and shave you must frequent one of the local barber shops where they also trim your eyebrows, nostrils and ears!
In the summer months, Akbuk harbour is host to many tour boats offering day trips to the surrounding bays and islands. There are also diving boats from here and nearby Bodrum plus opportunities for the keen angler to take a fishing expedition anywhere along the coastline that will net you Sea Bream (‘Çupra’) and Sea Bass ('Levrek') etc.

This area of Turkey boasts an average of 300 sunny days per year where temperatures in the peak season can reach into the 40's celsius, made tolerable by the calming gentle breeze from the sea and surrounding hills. This area is ideal for culture seekers, possessing some of the most spectacular and significant of Turkeys' archaeological sites with a rich cultural legacy from early Greek, Roman and Ottoman civilisations. The World Heritage site of Ephesus (where St. Paul was said to preach), containing numerous temples, a restored library and a huge amphitheatre, together with the nearby House of the Virgin Mary are only about an hours drive away.
Close to Ephesus is the coastal town of Kusadasi with it’s deep sea harbour accommodating up to 700 cruise ships per year. The Temple of Apollo in Didim, the large amphitheatre at Miletus and Lake Bafa with its large breeding area for Flamingo’s and other wild birds are closer to the complex. Further afield are the stunning white limestone cliffs and hot springs at Pamukkale which can easily be visited in a day trip.
Altinkum (meaning ‘Golden Sands’) and its older attached sister Didim, is a busier, larger town and is only 40 minutes by car or, in the summer months, take the water taxi directly from Apollonium's own private jetty. There you’ll find a vast sandy beach, lots of bars, restaurants, shops, hotels and nightclubs. ‘Sea-cat’ like ferries offer day trips to the nearby Greek islands of Kos and Samos during the summer months with journey times approximately one hour each way.
For the shoppers, a trip to Bodrum with its numerous boutiques, shops, yacht harbour, castle and museum is only an hours’ drive away or closer still is the Outlet Shopping Mall at Söke.
