Good for when you don't want to leave the hotel
The location is great, right across the old fort, and I was lucky enough to get a room with the view, so I could have breakfast in the room and get the same view as the breakfast room advertised. Staff was friendly, restaurants on site were good and the spa on site excellent. So while you are close to many historic sites and markets, it is also a good place for when you simply need some rest between travel and don't want to have to leave the hotel. The room as a bit smaller than expected, but very adequate for the hotel class. Only if you want a quick ride to the airport, this is a bit longer, as it is nestled close the river and old city, but even then you at least get to see it in the taxi ride, which is nice especially if you arrive at night which I did. And then for those with energy to venture, you have it all close by, it was almost a pity that I lacked the time. Above all great for an in-house spa!
My husband and I have just had another great stay at the Arabian Courtyard. The location is ideal and very handy for numerous good local restaurants where you can experience some fantastic food. The nearest train station is within walking distance as are the Abras to take you across the Creek.
The pool area can be crowded when the hotel is busy but during this latest stay we had the place to ourselves. Perhaps the other guests had taken the hotel's free shuttle to the beach.
The staff at the hotel are very professional, friendly and helpful. We're looking forward to our next visit!
Arabian Courtyard in the old part of Dubai
Just home after four nights at Arabian Courtyard - terrific hotel very pleasant good sized room with comfortable bed. Location was excellent for being very near to everything. Staff cannot do enough for you - loved the two doorman!

2 Day Stay at Arabian Courtyard
We arrived early and check in was at 2pm so we waited. At 1.55 we were told it will take another 30 mins and which stage I complained. The manager quickly found another room for us so that was a relief.
We had a family room which allows a seperate Sofa bed to be there. Quality of rooms was good and location is really good for Meena Bazaar and the Museum. The hotel was busy due to local holiday period but staff were good and any issues were resolved quickly
Only had breakfast at the hotel but this was decent and cannot complain
I would stay here again but the prices of hotels in Dubai in general are expensive
mazing stay @ the Courtyard
I was looking to book a hotel which would be in a central area and I can not fault the Arabian Courtyard. We had such an enjoyable 3 day break and the staff were all amazing, always willing to help with a smile. Our room was perfect as we had booked an executive room we had access to the executive lounge with complimentary drinks in the evening and access to the internet. The hotel had a lovely pool area and a really lovely spa. The location was great as there were many shops and places to eat within the area but the hotel itself had 4 different types of restaurants and a great pub called the Sherlock Holmes and the bar staff made us feel so welcome that we were there every evening. I would highly recommend the Arabian Courtyard as great value for money and service and will be staying here again when next in Dubai.
One night stop over
Food clearly made fresh to order but stone cold everytime. Breakfast buffet freezing and burners not even turned on under food . Dressing gowns very tired. Rooms a bit tired. Had to pay for early check in even with small child asleep in my arms. Ok for stop over but would not stay for long holiday.
Good place to stay
Its a good place to stay if you want to experience beach life and culture. Free return transportation with beach bag to Jumeirah Beach every day. Very good and versatile breakfast with many hot dishes and a good selction of fruit and buns, cakes, cereals, nuts etc. Pool smallish but more than aduquate for family swims.
Family room is of good size and meets perfectly the needs of 2+2.
Good location but a bit too far (1,5 km) from nearest Metro to walk in 35C. Taxis are affordable:a ride to the metro is 10 dirhams.
Good access to museum and the Creek which is only 500 m walking distance from the hotel thorugh Bastikiya.

The hotel staff at this hotel were very helpful and polite in every way. Dining in the Thai/Chinese Restaurant was delightful - good food and service. Breakfast provided all your needs and the friendly waitresses were great too. This accommodation has a lot to offer any traveller. It is opposite the Dubair Museum.

Hotel service was generally good and very friendly. The Executive Lounge was an added bonus. Being situated in Bur Dubai meant that you could walk through the old part of the town quite easily although there are a lack of reasonable restaurants. Taxi ride to other areas is reasonably short or you could try the river taxis!!
