The Snowdon base camp! Once the haunt of famed Victorian climbers, this hostel is 1,000ft above sea level and at the start the ascent of Snowdon. A great base to experience the stunning landscape and many activities that Snowdonia has to offer.A magnet for mountaineers from round the world, YHA Pen-y-Pass is over 1,000ft above sea level at the foot of Snowdon. This former mountain lodge is ideally placed for the waymarked trails up Snowdon, as well as being a great base to explore the wilder side of Snowdonia. Fantastic full breakfasts, tasty packed lunches, delicious evening meals and a licensed bar.
