With its dark oak floor, calming driftwood tables and white wooden shutters the Bistro is a calm and relaxing environment to enjoy one of the menus, whether it’s a light lunch, hearty breakfast or a romantic candlelit dinner. When the weather is kind the terrace is open so guests can enjoy the sun or even the stars. Always seasonal, hand cooked from start to finish and wherever possible always local. The menus are ever changing, inspiring and reasonably priced. This truly is a revelation in this undiscovered part of East Sussex.

Located along one of the last undiscovered coastlines in the UK. Camber sands is a 3 minute walk over the sand dunes and its sandy beach stretches for miles in each direction. The ancient town of Rye is minutes from the hotel and is steeped in history with cobbled streets and antique shops. Discover haunted houses and pubs that have stood the test of time. Bodiam Castle is 20 minutes away and has a fairytale quality to it, why not arrive in style and take the steam train from Northiam Station.

The landscape of Dungeness is just a 10 minute drive away and is the starting point for the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch miniature railway network, or just hire a bike from the hotel and make use of the many cycle paths that criss-cross the area. A little further afield is the old town of Hastings which is fast becoming a popular with boutique shops popping up and the waterfront is getting a dramatic makeover that will have an art gallery as its centre piece. read more
