Hotel Description

Briar Lea House is a large country house in its own grounds, in the northern regions of Cumbria. An ideal base for exploring the historic City of Carlisle, the Scottish borders, Gretna Green and Hadrian's Wall.
We are ideally placed for an overnight stop en-route to or from your destination.
Our heated swimming pool is available to our guests May-September.
Our ground floor rooms are spacious and suitable for those less able.
We can also accommodate a small or large family and the smaller wedding party.
We offer a choice of breakfast, with cereals or porridge, fruit juice, full cooked English .Eggs cooked as prefered on toast or beans on toast. A vegetarian option is also available. ( the choice is there for you ) Tea coffee & toast is of course available in abundance!
We offer our guests a warm and friendly service and aim to make them feel 'at home.'

Pets are welcome at £2.00 each.

You can check in from 15:00 to 21:00. You need to check out by 10:00.

Deposit of £10.00 per person per night is required to reserve the room/s, taken at time of booking and is non refundable. If there is a no show the full amount of the booking will be taken. Cancellations made under 72 hours of booked date will be liable for full payment of first day Credit card payments will incur an extra charge of 3% of the total invoiced ammount. Payment by debit cards are free. Cheques ca no longer be accepted.
