SELF-CATERING - "Home from Home" - set in quiet residential Annandale Street, just off the Top of Leith Walk (direct route to Princes Street), free guest parking to rear of modern, well maintained private residential development.
Less than half a mile to Princes Street. Playhouse Theatre, Royal Mile.. A few minutes walk to local and international shopping, historic attractions / action! Bus stop nearby in Elm Row and Leith Walk. Edinburgh has an excellent, frequent bus service.

Calton Apartments have 8 identical fully equipped modern self-catering apartments within one private stair (door entry phone) .
There are 2 self-catering apartments on each level, front doors facing:
Ground. First floor. Second floor
Third floor (top floor).
**We request guests to inform us prior to arrival, should there be specific requirements, such as stairs (there is no lift within the building).

**Calton Apartments (self-catering) are part of a private residential factored development, and do not have their own reception, therefore, being part of the same hotel group as the Abbey Hotel, and being within minutes walk, check in point to uplift KEYS and information, is the Abbey Hotel, 9 ROYAL TERRACE, EH7 5AB... PRIOR to going to apartments, which are at the MOST, 8-10 minutes walk, or 2 minutes by car from the hotel.

Each identical fully equipped, fully furnished self-catering apartment has:
* COMFORTABLE LOUNGE: Large sofa (can be converted into 2 single beds), armchair, flatscreen digital Freeview TV, DVD player, solid oak nests of tables (plus dining area in lounge: dining table and chairs), floor lamp and table lamp, pay telephone.
* SEPARATE FULLY FITTED KITCHEN (washing machine with dryer built in, stove, oven, hob, integral grill, microwave, toaster, cookware, pots & pans, cutlery and crockery, cafetiere, glassware: wine glasses, champagne flutes, pint glasses, bottle openers.... etc).
Kitchen roll, washing up liquid, washing powder tablets, drying cloths are also supplied, as are complimentary tea, coffee, milk, coffee sachets (for that first "cuppa")
* One BATHROOM per apartment: bath & power shower, WC, wash hand basin, storage space, shaver sockets.
* Supplied at outset of stay: Soap, shampoo/conditioner, shower/bath gel and toilet rolls provided (included within rate). **As apartments are "self-catering", there would be a charge for additional/replacement items.
* There are TWO BEDROOMS: * ONE DOUBLE BEDROOM(1 double bed) * ONE TWIN BEDROOM (2 single beds)
* TWIN action custom built sofa-bed (lounge) = 2 single beds (Each side of sofa bed folds down, creating either one single or two single beds, hotel quality with sprung mattresses) in lounge.
* All beds, including additional beds have hollow-fibre non-allergenic duvets and pillows.
* All bedrooms are to the rear of each apartment, facing landscaped car parking area, therefore, very quiet. Lounge faces to front of the building - see photos for reference, also floor plan.
* Iron & ironing board *Hairdryer *Henry vacuum cleaner *Clothes airer (Please note: Washing machine has dryer facility also)
* Free guest car parking upon request
* Note: All bed linen and towels are supplied at the outset.
* Two apartments on each level, front doors facing, all in same apartment building and stair (see photos and floorplan image).
* Full instruction/information manual on all aspects of apartment, from heating, to using cooker, washer/drier, emergency information, where to shop, etc....
* All curtains are hotel quality with blackout lining.
* Located in a private residential stair (electronic entry door system) - part of a modern, private residential development built in 1999. MINUTES WALK TO EVERYWHERE. 0.4 miles to centre of Princes Street (less than half a mile).
* All linen & towels, bath mats, drying cloths supplied at outset of stay.
* As the apartments are let on a "self-catering" basis, any further housekeeping / extra towels / linen can be arranged for an additional charge, as per Calton Apartments conditions of let. The exception to this is for stays over 5 nights, where a full housekeeping service is included in rate every 4th night.
* For larger groups there is benefit of additional flexible sleeping (fully sprung mattresses on custom built sofa-beds) in lounges of each individual apartment.

The front doors of the Abbey Hotel (checking in point) are open until 10.30 pm. Please contact us in advance to advise of your arrival time (especially in the case of extreme cases where there is an unforseen delay), contact details available upon confirmation of booking, and also at check in point.

**All of our apartments are strictly "NON-SMOKING". We kindly request guests respect this request. *An additional cleaning charge will be made if, on departure, it is found that guests have been smoking in the apartments. It is clearly stated on Calton Apartments confirmation details, and also on Terms & Conditions of Let upon check-in that smoking is not permitted in the apartments.

**The team at Calton Apartments endeavour to provide the best possible service, and request that, if there is any issue during the guest's stay, that they contact us directly during their stay, in order to rectify the situation as soon as possible.
**We strongly recommend that guests take out HOLIDAY INSURANCE and loss and damage cover, which includes cancellation expenses.

Updating Rates

You can check in from 15:00 to 22:00. You need to check out by 11:00.

Fixed amount of GBP 100 per apt will be charged on day of booking & is partially refundable. If amount less than 100 GBP, full payment charged @ time of booking. Total price of reservation charged 28 days prior to arrival & is partially refundable. If cancelled up to 7 days before date of arrival, 50 % of all nights will be charged.
