Each extremely comfortable, recently refurbished lodge is equipped with everything you need for a happy and relaxing self catering holiday near Glencoe in the Highlands of Scotland. High quality furnishings and furniture (genuinely comfortable sofas) complement the cozy kitchens and provide you with luxurious surroundings in which to enjoy your holiday.
With two bedrooms in each of the self catering lodges, there is ample space for families or couples sharing their holidays. You can be assured of a good night's sleep on our high quality beds. There is also a fold away bed for a fifth person should it be required. There is a professional style laundry on site for your use.
Activities
In the surrounding area of Glencoe, Oban and Fort William there’s a wealth of outdoor activities to please all tastes. Walking, fishing, sailing (free mooring and slipway available) , golfing, riding, mountains, wildlife, historical sites and the glories of Argyll and the Scottish Highlands await, whilst nearby Oban the gateway to the Isles, and Fort William a fantastic coastal market town offer all the ’’towny’’ facilities you need. Within Glen Nevis there is Ben Nevis which is Britain's highest mountain and is just the other side of Fort William, whilst the historical Glencoe village and hills of Glencoe are only four miles away. The Glencoe area is famous for being the site of the famous massacre where nearly forty members of the Clan Donald were murdered in their sleep in 1692. Nowadays the hills and scenery of the Glencoe and Ben Nevis area make a stunning outdoor playground in the Outdoor Capital of the UK. Our self catering cottages offer a fantastic base to enjoy the Glencoe and Loch Leven area.
Restaurant, Bar and Swimming Pool
The secluded Holly Tree Hotel with its excellent restaurant on the water’s edge is adjacent to the lodges. There is also the Captain's bar there which serves all day food and drink and a fully heated indoor swimming pool and sauna which lodge residents are welcome to use, FREE of charge. A fantastic day touring Glencoe, Fort William, Oban, Mull and the Islands can be finished off with a fantastic swim and sauna in our own heated indoor swimming pool followed by a bar meal in our own Captains lounge bar. If you want a great start to the day you can even have a fully cooked traditional Scottish breakfast in the Hotel which will set you up well for busy day exploring the Scottish Highlands. If you want complete indulgence the adjacent Hollytree Seafood restaurant serves fresh seafood such a scallops and languistine as well as grills like fillet steak and lamb in a glass fronted restaurant overlooking the water. It really is worth a visit.
