Built in the 1400's The George and Pilgrim is the oldest purpose built public house in the South West of England and is steeped in magnificent history and tales of old.

Following a recent refurbishment the hotel now offers superior en suite bedrooms, some with impressively draped four poster beds perfect for a special occasion. All suites feature TV and tea & coffee making facilities.

Guests are welcome to enjoy a leisurely aperitif or traditional ale in The Pilgrim's bar with its old world charm and character, the perfect spot to delve into the myths and mysteries of the local area. The hotel also has a superb restaurant with an A la Carte menu with fresh succulent home-made food.

Along with an impressive panelled stone frontage, mullion windows and old oak beams, this historic building will transport you back to a beautiful bygone era without sacrificing any of the modern amenities required for a break that radiates comfort and relaxation.

Licensed for Civil Ceremonies, The George & Pilgrim is a popular choice for weddings, holding functions for up to 90 guests. For corporate events and training conferences The George & Pilgrim is happy to cater for 50 delegates.
