Hotel Description

The hotel was built in 1710 and is the original marriage house in Gretna Green. Now part of Oyster Hotel Group we are upgrading the hotel, but still retaining its great charm and character.


Situated in the heart of Gretna Green, only 1 mile from the M6/M74 the hotel is the ideal base to explore South West Scotland and the Lake District. We cater from sole travellers, couples to groups; so whatever your requirement we will do our utmost to ensure you have a relaxing and pleasant stay.


The hotel offers a modern and contemporary style in each of the 100 en-suite bedrooms, with tea and coffee making facilities, TV, direct dial telephone, hairdryer and wireless internet is available throughout the hotel.


The hotel has a newly refurbished bar/lounge offering varied menus and our Anvil Restaurant offers both table d'hote and a la carte menus with some fantastic world wide wines to accompany our Chef's selection of dishes.
