The Country House, designated as non-smoking, has 32 bedrooms, equipped with a hairdryer, clock radio and complimentary tea and coffee making facilities. Televisions are provided in the bedrooms. In addition, in the grounds there is the refurbished Coach House, a luxurious two bedroom apartment.

Indoor facilities include a lounge, bar, games room with table tennis and Nintendo Wii, a conservatory and outdoors guests can enjoy croquet and putting.

Meals are served in an informal, friendly atmosphere at tables for up to 10 guests. A three-course dinner is served at 7.30pm. A choice of full English or continental breakfast is offered. To allow you to make the most of your touring or walking holiday, a self-select picnic lunch is provided.

Free car parking is available. Please notify the Country House in advance if you intend to arrive after 10.30pm. Bedrooms are available from 2.30pm on the day of arrival and should be vacated by 10.00am on the day of departure.

With spectacular views of the fells, including Skiddaw, England’s fourth highest peak, this Country House is an excellent base for those on an activity or walking holiday.

Keswick, a popular market town, is just 2.5 miles away by car and only 2 miles away for those who choose to walk. Wordsworth’s house and gardens are 13 miles away.
