The historic Mercure Bloomsbury building was constructed in 1907 by the Cranston family, relatives of Sir Walter Scott, and later became a hotel named after one of his books, Waverley, published in 1814. And now has re-opened as a 4* boutique hotel after an extensive multi-million pound complete refurbishment!



Each bedroom has been designed to allow guests to relax, with natural materials and warm tones used in the décor.

The stylish new bar will wow you, offering a range of cocktails and wines and the restaurant also features locally sourced produce for its extensive menu, in line with the Mercure philosophy, the restaurant will cater for all tastes, making it perfect for business or pleasure.

All rooms have free Wifi, flat screen remote controlled LCD televisions, with Freeview, air conditioning, individual central heating, tea/coffee making facilities, luggage rack, direct dial telephone, adjustable bedside lights over sprung divan beds, work desk space, laptop safe, hairdryer and double glazing. The brand new bathrooms boast rainfall showers and/or bath, heated towel rails, shaver socket and mirror and light sensor overlit movie star style mirrors. Extras such as baby cots, irons and ironing boards are available on request free of charge.

Within walking distance from the hotel are the British Museum, Covent Garden, Soho, Oxford Street, and Theatre land. Transportation in and around the area is extremely convenient.
