Called the “Gateway to the Dales”, Skipton is one of Yorkshire’s most appealing and vibrant market towns and has much to offer the visitor. A lively outdoor market takes place 4 days per week.
Local attractions include a medieval castle, an excellent choice of specialist shops and luxury canal cruises. Skipton is on the doorstep of the magnificent Yorkshire Dales, a unique blend of high fells and quaint little villages. Just a short drive away is Bronte Country- home to the Bronte sisters – a rugged windswept heather moorland with Haworth as its focal point.
