Chestnuts is a traditional guest house with loads of warmth and charm. Offering all the modern comforts but still keeping the character of a Victorian home. Located in a quiet corner of Windermere village it makes the ideal base for enjoying the fabulous Lake District whether you want to relax and take in the spectacle, explore the fells or enjoy a meal in the numerous pubs and restaurants. We are only five minutes walk to Windermere village, ten minutes walk to Bowness village and fifteen minutes to Lake Windermere. Windermere train station is a short taxi drive or fifteen minutes on foot. We have private parking for all our guests and a secluded garden. We also have leisure facilities available which are only a few minutes away by car or fifteen minutes walk.
