Room large, comfortable, recently refurbished but the bathroom lacked an area/shelf for items such as toilet bag, razor, toothbrush etc. Slight problem in that toiletries, biscuits and bottled water were not replenished during the stay but A call to Reception was all that was needed to rectify this problem. Access was by a fairly narrow flight of stairs. There was no lift.
Continental Breakfast selection was not as extensive as perhaps some would desire but as the majority favoured the "Full English" cooked breakfast, overall the offering was very good.
Dinner in the evening was of a high standard with generous portion sizes and the "Early Bird" offer from 6.00pm to 7.30pm very good value for money.
