Very good rooms, clean, good service, only complaint is that the rooms require a face lift they are rather dated.all and all just need a spring clean furniture in the room on the point of collapse with the chairs.. Curtains would be nice instead of the wooden shutter , makes the room cold and dark ......

A great place to stay and what fantastic staff! My wife had forgotten my birthday and when she asked where she could procure a cake not only did the manager give her the name of an amazing cake shop he also organised a card a beautiful bunch of roses for from himself and the staff!! We would definitely recommend the Empress as a place to stay, great rooms, great staff and a great price too!

The room is better than our expected, as I found comments some good, some bad before departure but fiannally when we arrive we find the room is good! - clean, no mouldy smell at all, big & clean bathroom with good water pressure , bigger room than standard level, romantic oil painting on the wall... ...maybe it's because we prefer the 2nd floor.
The enviroment & view is very good too, beautiful & relaxed fountain area, good view of Xuan hong lake, we can see the sunrise & sunset easily... ... it's also very close to the big market, a lot of fresh fruit, cheap & good. the PNJ silver shop (near the market & the western bank)which 10 mins walking away from hotel is very good! don't miss it!
The staffs are very nice too, and we can't forget their smile...

Nice and cozy and very romantic place on the top of the hill overviewing the lake. Clean and "up to date" rooms, but had to fight the mosqitos at dawn.
Took some time til we understood that the AC was both av cooler AND a heater:-). For nights down to 13C, that came in hand.A last advice: Bring warm cloths! I know it has been said before, but the nights out after sunset can be a challange. And i'm from Norway and know what cold is:-)

this hotel is right at the city center, with a nice view to the lake in Dalat. romantic rooms, very big bathroom, good food and friendly, helpful stuff. highly recommend.

A good overall package. We were warmly welcomed at the reception and language was not a problem. The room provided was excellent in almost all respects. The 2 major gripes was the ceiling speaker which played piped music (irritating when watching tv) and the intermittent tv reception. The staff did fix the speaker by switching off the music. Breakfast is the worst we had and we skipped it on most days and had a much better one outside. Location is excellent with a 10 min walk to the main market and a 2 min walk to the lake. Fair value for the price.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel, especially the fact it was quiet and the staff and service very professional and friendly. There is no criticism whatever I can say about the Hotel.
It has a beautiful outlook over the lake around which we enjoyed some wonderful picnic lunches.
We loved how close it is to the best market that I have been to in Vietnam, and downtown in general.
We really want to come back to Da Lat again and will definately stay at the Empress Hotel. We had a great time.

Empress Dalat is actually a charming, romantic hotel facing the lake.The location is great but hotel needs to reinvent itself as it is rather run down.Service during breakfast was disappointing; for latecomers food seemed to be reluctantly replaced.
