Great location! We upgraded to the ocean...
Great location! We upgraded to the ocean view suite and it was great. The service overall was fine except for the spa, which turned out to be a bit disappointing. On the whole a good experience.

Compared to the established resorts in Thailand...
Compared to the established resorts in Thailand and Malaysia, Furama still lacks the overall experience in terms of facilities, location and the quality of rooms. Although service was excellent. It still lacks the maturity of a established resort.

This was a fantastic hotel. The location on China beach is great and the service is wonderful. They also have a daily bus to Hoi An which was great for getting clothes made.

My wife and I were staying 2...
My wife and I were staying 2 weeks in mid-June along the coast of Vietnam - Hue, Hoi An and Danang. Danang was our last stop and we had booked for 5 nights at the Furama Resort Hotel Danang, based on reviews. Although the Furama was the highest priced of the 3 hotels where we stayed it was by far the worst. From check in until checkout the service was non existent. The food was acceptable although it was of low quality and it was very overpriced. An example was an appetizer of 4 boiled shrimp for US$12! Because of the extremely poor service and quality we decided to return home 3 nights early, although or room had been prepaid. We decided it was better to lose the money than tolerate poor service and quality! I shall never recommend this hotel to anyone, even my worst enemy!

We had the most amazing holiday at...
We had the most amazing holiday at the Furama Resort Danang. We paid extra for a room facing the sea and it was well worth it. The view was incredible and sitting on our balcony in the evenings, sipping wine while watching the small boats on the South China Sea, was absolutely magical. Our room was large and totally adequate for three (myself, my wife and son). Apart from the beach which is terrific, Danang is not so interesting but we hired the hotel car (plus driver) at a very reasonable rate for several excursions [to Hue and to Hoi An, etc]. We loved VietNam and the Furama Resort was wonderful Our only disappointment was the food in the hotel restaurant, which was adequate but not great. The hotel runs a very useful [free] shuttle bus to and from the airport and also into Danang. Danang airport is the 'pits' so try not to spend too much time there.

Not good wellcoming: for a garden view...
Not good wellcoming: for a garden view reserved they give us a room on the horrible road side. All is very expensive in this hotel: restaurant and bars, internet, laundry ... Luckily there are some local restaurants on the beach and Danang city is not too far but very poor in entertainment. Very nice swiming pool and beach (free!!). Well equipped for groups staying for 4 or 5 days. Better to stay on HoiAn beach (less than one hour).

This is a fine place to spend...
This is a fine place to spend some time at the beach or one of the pools. We especially appreciated the library of the hotel and the helpfulness of the tour desk.

It is a very good HOTEL!! The OCEAN VIEW room is really nice!! with a GREAT bathroom!! Staff is very kind. However i should say that the price you are paying for this hotel is not fair for a very simple reason you are in VIETNAM!! and the location is really bad since the weather and the sea are not good at all!!! The swimming pools are prety cool!! One more thing the prices for the RESTAURANTS are very high, inlcuding the breakfast, even if this one is really good!!!
