Nothing fantastic about this hotel. Spacious room...
Nothing fantastic about this hotel. Spacious room but not close to shops or restaurants except few local shops. Worst experience with this hotel that they couldn’t help with Halong bay tours. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. So disappointed as all the tourists come to Halong to see Halong bay not to stay at hotels. I should have booked from Hanoi. Guys better book from Hanoi.

This is a nice hotel, with good sized rooms and facilities. However, not all facilities were open eg the roof bar and poolside cafe and the treatment rooms (spas etc) were closed. It is rather isolated in the middle of open land with good views of the bay, but this will disappear when surrounding land has been developed. There are small shops nearby but no alternative places for western food to compete with the hotel restaurant.The food in the hotel is rather limited in choice. In spite of the isolation we enjoyed the quietness and found it was convenient to get to the ferry point for bay tours (about 20 mins walk). The city of Halong, however, is about 4-5 kms away.
