Good choice for family with chidrens
This was our first visit in Hanoi. We chose the hotel because of its staff, family room and good reviews. We are a family with two teenage boys and the size of the room was really good. We enjoyed computer and free internet in the room.Room was large with jacuzzi bathub, balcony. The beds were a bit hard but it was ok. Bathroom was clean and had all amenities. All the hotel staff was very friendly, we arranged all our tours through the hotel desk and everything was perfect. Breakfast was average, but one wouldn't expect more from a 3 star hotel. In general we would definitely recommend this hotel, it is a value for money, service is excellent, staff very helpful and friendly.

Luxor staff were very helpful - they helped us to book for almost everything - the water puppet theatre, day-trip to halong bay, dinner at the metropole, even recommending the bakeries and cafes around the hotel. The family room we had was clean and cosy. The best part was the internet facilities in the room, and the many satellite channels on tv.

Overall feel happy staying Hanoi Luxor Hotel. Only problems looking for food is a challenge near the hotel.
The first floor rooms are too noisy...
The first floor rooms are too noisy but the upper floor rooms are great but no great views available. No nearby amenities, but service from staff is good in getting bookings for taxi services and other tour packages. The staff are friendly and safety of the hotel is good.

Services and hotel staff were excellents.I has the nice experience at this hotel. I stayed at luxor hotel for 1 night, then the reception desk suggested us join the trip to Halong bay, the trip was perfect with paloma junk. I was very happy about this trip provided by staff.
Room was nice and tidy, buffet breakfast was adequate, hotel loation was convenient for walking around and visit somes places as: museums, temples, Hoan kiem lake, night markets...

We stayed at Luxor in Dec 2009 with 2 kids. The family room was perfect (very large).
Interestingly PC was in the room. Very convenient for e-mails never seen this before even in 4 stars hotels.
Very good noise insulation (a must in Hanoi).
Very helpful staff. They even arranges our flight tickets. Very responsive on mails.
Breakfast is poor. Limited choice, no refiling, dark room.
Also the car for transfer to airport was very poor. old, noisy, dirty and the driver was not good either.
Overall pleasant stay and good value for money.

While this hotel has a 3 star rating the service provided by its employees is 5 star .I have never found hotel staff so kind, respectful and willing to help in any other hotel that I have stayed. This includes the man at the front door. the reception staff, the restaurant staff, and the house keeping staff
