Great location. Room (Executive suite) was outstanding....
Great location. Room (Executive suite) was outstanding. As it was our honeymoon we received a complementary bottle of wine and cake.Hotel was very nice with great facilities. Would stay here again.

A top class hotel in Hanoi. Rooms were well appointed and serviced well. Buffet Breakfast was excellent. Lobby and concierge staff were helpful with taxi's, directions etc. Quite handy to the Frech Quarter

We enjoyed our stay at the Melia...
We enjoyed our stay at the Melia Hotel. It was very impersonal though, probably due to its size. We had to change rooms when we first arrived as they were renovating the room next door and the smell of varnish was overpowering. We did enjoy the buffet breakfast, huge variety of food. We stayed 2 nights then we went up to Sapa. On our return to the Melia for another 4 nights we were upgraded but this was a bit pointless as the room was the same as our previous room and we were not entitled to the perks that came with the room.

I stayed 3 nights at Melia Hanoi...
I stayed 3 nights at Melia Hanoi for a holiday trip and must say that except for the location, my hubby and friends were disappointed with the service. The counter staff did not greet us with smiles and basically their attitude were as though they were 'just doing their jobs'. We asked for maps during checkin and unwillingly the reception staff drew one piece of map from the drawer. In the end we found out there was another piece of map in the room - the reception staff should tell us so rather than being so unwilling. Besides, dining and drinking is expensive in Melia. I would advise any traveller, if you are staying at Melia, do check out other eating places. One plus point is Melia's location. It is a short 15-minute walk to Old quarters.

Melia is in a great location with...
Melia is in a great location with impeccable service. The rooms were a decent size, and we had no hassles. We've stayed at numerous 5star hotels across Vietnam and we all agree that Melia had the best breakfast buffet- try it if you get the chance! Very happy with our stay there.

Good Location - within walking distance to...
Good Location - within walking distance to the Lake and town. If you are looking for a standard, out-of-the-box westernize hotel in Hanoi for business travelers, I would recommend this one.

Very good location close to downtown but quiet, very good facilities, fantastic breakfast and dinner. A wonderful textile shop (Vietnamise and Indian), best price/quality in Hanoi. Best staff in Vietnam. WILL REPEAT

we had a great stay at the...
we had a great stay at the melia. very prompt check in, we were in our room within minutes of arrival. What was much appreciated after a long flight,staff in the resturant were great. the Hotel itself was well managed clean and welcoming. everyone from the manager to the shoeshine boy always found time to talk to you.all in all we had a great stay and we would recommend the hotel to friends and family
