Due to a delayed flight, we arrived...
Due to a delayed flight, we arrived exhausted, well after the hotel was closed. We were expected and welcomed by the night porter, everything was dealt with perfectly, and we were shown to a charming room. This hotel is in the centre of town and yet perfectly quiet, with a charming restaurant which is a haven of peace in the middle of a chaotic city. The facilities in the hotel are as good as any 4 star hotel and staff are both helpful and charming.

Room 904 was quite small and we...
Room 904 was quite small and we needed to take stairs from floor 8 to 9. Cleaning staff room next door, noise started early morning. They improved breakfast compared to last stay Feb 2008. Location very good and friendly staff.

One of the greatest hotel experiences I've ever had. The staff was outstanding and couldn't have done a better job. A no brainer, I would this hotel again!

Well decorated room that was clean and comfortable. Good service from staff. Breakfast choice was limited - go for breakfast early if you want things to be warm. Location was very good in the Hanoi old quarter, with many restaurants just 10 mins walk away. The rooms are located on a split level, which means that you will have to climb stairs with luggage, regardless of what floor you are located on (unless you are in a suite).

This hotel was in a great location in Hanoi. The staff were really helpful and we had a very happy time here. I would recomend it.

The main thing about this hotel was...
The main thing about this hotel was the staff. It was the first place we visited in Vietnam where the staff spoke good Enlgish and were very polite and always helpful. Our first room was not very nice and when we asked to move they accomodated us as soon as they could and moved us to a much nicer room.

Beautifully furnished hotel in Chinese style, excellent location in Hanoi's historical quarter and nice breakfast buffet included, this is definitely a great value for money!

Hong Ngoc 1 certainly met our needs....
Hong Ngoc 1 certainly met our needs. The staff were extremely friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The rooms were spacious and pleasantly decorated. The best feature of the hotel was its location.The hotel is central to the French and Old Quarters, 5 minutes walk to the lake with many restaurants nearby. The hotel looked after our luggage while we visited Sapa and Halong Bay. Upon return the hotel allowed us to shower before a flight home free of charge. The breakfasts were quite ordinary but adequate. As hotels were booked out due to the typhoon, Hong Ngoc 1 mangaed to find us a room at very late notice. We would most probably stay there again but make sure when you book you request the tower with the lift as there are two sections, one 6 stories no lift and only steps and another 9 stories with a lift. It is not a place for people who struggle with steps.

We loved our stay in your hotel....
We loved our stay in your hotel. The room was wonderful,it was big (there were 3 of us),comfortable and clean and we loved the glass chandeliers and style of furniture. The location was very central and perfect for exploring the old quarter. The hotel employers were great,very helpful and arranged day trips for us. The breakfast in the restaurant was delicious. I highly recommend your hotel.
