Very enjoyable and comfortable stay. Beds were comfortable. Furnishings very nice (Vietnamese engraved wooden chairs, beds, closet doors) and added ambience to the room. Location was excellent - very central, yet not noisy at night. We were there during Tet, so probably the noisiest time of the year, but our sleep was undisturbed. Service was OK, but not the absolute best. Perhaps this was due to Tet, or perhaps it's just the way it is. Nevertheless, we would definitely stay there again, and recommend it highly for value for money.

We spent three nights and were happy with the accommodation in the hotel. As in most Asian hotels you do not have European news on TV only CNN and Asian Stations

We travelled in a group of 6...
We travelled in a group of 6 - 1 senior, parents and 3 teenagers. The accomadation was great for senior and parents. I think the room for three was a little small and having no windows even though it was a superior delux room made it a bit dismal. We still enjoyed our stay and would be happy to recommend it. Staff were all helpful and cheerful. Dining room very comfortable and convenient - breakfast pretty good but dinner average. We'd love to return one day!

This was my third choice hotel and...
This was my third choice hotel and when we arrived we were unhappy with our room. However, when I mentioned at Reception that we were unhappy we were immediately moved to a suite at no extra cost. Our new room was great: it was spacious, clean and very well serviced. We found the staff helpful and friendly and they made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. The staff helped us with tours etc. There was no lift in our part of the hotel but the rooms are well worth climbing up to. Breakfast was great with a wide choice of good food. The location of this hotel is excellent, right on the edge of the Old Quarter. It would be difficult to imagine a better location. We returned to Hanoi a few days later and very very happy to stay again. Overall a terrific small hotel in a brilliant location and I highly recommend it.

The hotel staff were fantastic. The beds left a bit to be desired as they were akin to sleeping on concrete and the breakfasts were disappointing. The location was great and the rooms very clean.

We enjoyed both our nights stay in...
We enjoyed both our nights stay in this hotel and were pleased with the friendly, excellent service provided by the hotel's staff. The location was very conveniant as it's not even a 10-minute walk to Hoan Kiem Lake in the Old Quarter. The breakfasts were great with a good variety to choose from. We were especially happy with the fact that the hotel was very willing to store our luggage for us as we ventured to Halong Bay after our first night there, and then returned to this hotel after our 2-day trip. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a great hotel in the Old Quarter of Hanoi, for a relatively inexpensive price!

All of the staff are extremely friendly...
All of the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They all speak perfect english so getting help with anything you may need is very smooth. I was there over the Christmas holiday and they had this wonderful party for all the guests on Christmas eve. It was unreal! An enormous buffet with delicious food. Live music. A chef carving meats. The place was all decorated for the occasion. It was just great. Breakfasts are very good. Laundry service is super fast and excellent value. The location is perfect if you want to be in the middle of the action in the Old Quarter of Hanoi. I was there with friends and we all had nice big clean rooms. Since we were maybe the only independent travellers at the hotel. Seems to be more family oriented. But we overlooked the bratty kids at breakfast and fully enjoyed our stay. I do recommend it to all travellers and I would stay there again.
