We were very impressed with the service...
We were very impressed with the service - nothing was too much trouble. We stayed on and off over a week and it was no trouble to store our bags while we went to Sapa and also Halong Bay. The location is perfect for visiting the old town. The breakfast was very good with lots of choice.

Hong Ngoc 1 was fantastic! It is...
Hong Ngoc 1 was fantastic! It is more interesting to stay at the Old Quarters, near to Dong Xuan night market, Hang Gai, Hoan Kiem Lake and many good food places. I stayed at the Deluxe room with balcony on the 2nd floor. The room was huge and looked better than expected. It could have been more comfortable if it was carpet or parquet flooring. The bathroom was not perfect but was acceptable. I expected it to be noisy on the 2nd floor but surprisingly not. Service staff was friendly and ever ready to help with requests, be it charging my camera battery or helping us with directions. Take note to leave ur keys with the reception as they do not seem to have spare keys for housekeeping. This is an interesting hotel to stay at, although not for people used to staying at expensive 5-star hotels. I recommend this hotel to those who are keen to experience Hanoi.

I spent a fantastic time at the...
I spent a fantastic time at the Hong Ngoc 2. Arrived at 3am and had to wake everyone up but was greeted with wonderful smiles and hospitality. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. They truly made my Vietnam experience wonderful. And the breakfast buffet was brilliant. I thoroughly recommend this hotel!!

I stayed in this hotel for 6 days. I like it very much : good location in old quarter and near Hoan Kiem Lake, rooms very clean, excellent breakfast,staff very helpful and smiling.

Great hotel - very clean and excellent...
Great hotel - very clean and excellent service. A little more expensive than other hotels in Hanoi but you get some luxuries including a lift, a great breakfast, free internet and lovely big rooms. I would happily stay here again :)

Very clean and staff friendly. Mmmmm pasteries at breakie time great, breakie was included in the rate and great selection. Close to the lake in the old quarter and the funky monkey only short stroll away.

The hotel in general was satisfactory, but the furniture and fittings gave you the impression of a hotel in China, because of the rosewood furniture. This was the first impression when we walked into the room. Other than that, staff we very friendly and helpful. One advice that I must share with other potential guests and the hotel owner is to get the cleaners to lock respective rooms after they have cleaned the room. During my stay, I noticed that the cleaners did not lock my room after cleaning and the room could easily be entered by anyone and things could go missing. Just take note of this. I enjoyed my stay in Hanoi and I regard it as a good experience and an eye opening experience.

Hong Ngoc Hotel has five locations in...
Hong Ngoc Hotel has five locations in Ha Noi, so, please check which one beforehand. I've stayed at the Hong Ngoc 1 which is located on Hahn Manh, located on a quiet street in the Old Quarter (location is perfect, as it is on a walking distance to everything) The staff are friendly and the breakfasts are pretty good for this kind of hotel (clean and plentiful). I've stayed in a Deluxe room which was huge. There was not much noise as it is located on a quiet street. I would recommend this hotel if you want to have a place to rest after walking hours in Ha Noi and want a quiet, basic and clean place to sleep.

That is a quite nice hotel. The location is absolutly great. The hotel is located in a small street in the old quarter with less traffic and less horns, so there is´nt so noisy. We have suprised, the hotel has more then 10 rooms, round about 40. The deluxe rooms don´t look like on the picture. They are smaller, but big enough to stay for a couple. Unfortantatly the balcony is not usable. The standard rooms are smaller then the deluxe rooms, most of them with 3 beds and windows to the floor. So it is very dark in this rooms. During our staying some groups were there. The breakfast can you enjoy from the buffett. We missed authentic food, like pho bo and vietnamese baguette. The staff is very helpfully and polite. Not all of them speaking English.
