We stayed 7 days and really enjoyed....
We stayed 7 days and really enjoyed. Staff, food, cleanliness was the best. Stairs could be a problem for some people, we were on the 5th floor and no lift.

The rooms are very big and there...
The rooms are very big and there is a very good facilitie for bussines travelers wich is the 24 hours free high speed Internet conection even in your room. Service is very friendly and the location is very near of the down town. I had found much more that what I had expected for a 2 stars hotel.

The hotel is very well located in...
The hotel is very well located in the Old Quarter just off a main street and only a few blocks from the Hoan Kiem Lake. The service was outstanding. The staff were very approachable, welcoming and they provided a lot of advice eg organise tours, transport, tickets, advice about fair prices etc. The hotel is a very high quality 3 star establishment which is very clean, very tidy and very comfortable. The hotel has a good restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast with many choices was included in the tariff. I would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel to a wide cross section of travellers.

The hotel as better than we expected....
The hotel as better than we expected. Rooms were really nice and I must compliment the service of the Staffs. They were extremely friendly and friendly. We forgot our camera and one of them came running to us we it!! Our arrangement to Halong Bay tour was hassel free. After returing from our tour to the hotel to pick up our luggage (we had check out) the hotel staffs even offer us a place to take our shower before we catch out overnight train to the next destination. The only complain is that there is no lift and we are staying on the 6th floor!!!

we stayed here because the site recommended it after trying in fully booked hotels, it was a really great experience, all the staff are extremely friendly, everyone speaked english, the breakfast was great!!, western and vietnamese, the room was always clean, and they even have amenities like toothbrush, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, frigobar!! we stayed in a deluxe triple room, really nice place, the shower its not made for tall people, but overall im really satisfied with everything, they even arranged for us a small trip to Halong Bay!!

The rooms are generally quite clean,quiet and cosy. Bathrooms are well maintained and clean.A deposit box,free Internet and cable TV are provided. Coffe house provides good breakfast and a good selection of food and wine. Staff including chef and waiters are friendly.Location provides easy access to shopping and Hoan Kiem Lake.

This hotel is a real gem. I initially tried to book a 3 star hotel but this was sold out. Asiarooms recommended me this 2 star hotel instead. I decided to go with a deluxe room. It was great. With a balcony, big room, antique furniture and a clean bathroom. But the true value of this hotel is the hotel staff. They are really nice, helpful and friendly. Could not have been any better. In addition they have really talented vietnamese musician groups playing there twice a week. It is really great. There is also a free Internet DSL terminal for the hotel guests available. Enjoy your stay here. I will definetly come back again!

We enjoyed staying at the Hong Ngoc 1. Perfect location for a stroll in the old quarter. The rooms are clean, decoration is standard. The staff is numerous, very kind and helpful. Not all speak English.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. It was a pleasure to stay. And the breakfast! The biggest range I've seen in Vietnam so far. Well worth the money spent. Our room was clean and spacious with our only gripe being the bike horns tooting at all hours. The front rooms are quite noisy if you're a light sleeper.
