Staff at Reception were fantastic and knew...
Staff at Reception were fantastic and knew on checkin that we were going to be returning at a later date. Booked the suite as basic rooms booked and got 5* for 3* price. Restaurant staff needed a little more English skills but otherwise I had no complaints.

We started our stay with a mix-up...
We started our stay with a mix-up in our reservation. The receptionist told us that she had no record of our reservation and needed to call the reservation company (asia room subsidies it's reservations out to local officces). The receptionist claims to have tried calling 5 times without an answer, yet when I tried to call the same number I got an answer on the first try. We finally got everything straightened out, and the staff was hospitable after that aggravation. The hotel is nice. We loved the breakfast buffet spread. But we were dissapointed in our room. We had an upgraded room, but there were still stains all over the carpet.

Fantastic location, we could see the lake...
Fantastic location, we could see the lake from our room. Easy walking distance from the main tourist area of Hanoi. You can do Tai Chi by the lake in the morning with the locals. Breakfast was superb, and evening meals had special offers at great value.

We stayed in the suite on the...
We stayed in the suite on the fifth floor and really it worked out perfectly given there were three of us. The living area /one bed, has nice big windows so the lighting was good and the room had a nice feel. The hotel is a good 3 star- but expect tired robes and towels and the breakfast was just OK. We loved the location, as it was just by the lake and opposite Bobby Chins. We walked everywhere or caught a cyclo. If you don't want to pay Metropole prices and you want a similar location this is a good option.

The Zephyr was the smallest of the five hotels we booked through you. It was a pleasant surprise. It's sparkling clean,in a great location with a very helpful staff and a marvelous buffet breakfast. I can't imagine a better value in Ha Noi regardless of price. Only a few meters from the edge of Hoan Kiem lake, which is right in the middle of everything, it's easy to walk to many restaurants and shopping areas. It would be our first choice on a return trip. As they say... location, location, location!!! ...
As they say... location, location, location!!! This is located in the absolute belly button of the lake district, which is where you want to be. With a map and a guide to can walk to everything of interest, or hop a cab or pedi and be there even faster. This is not really a five star, but it is the best you'll find in Hanoi next to the Metropole, and the location rocks. Solid four star. Our service was great, but we didn't have many requests (extra pillow) and un upgrade on the room so we could see the lake, both of which were accommodated in no time. The room was very clean, service was much better than average, location CAN NOT

A really nice hotel, great location very...
A really nice hotel, great location very close to lower end of the lake, we were very happy with the rooms, friendly service, staff,and great breakfast we would happily stay there again.
