Good location especially for those shopping at...
Good location especially for those shopping at the Old Quarters or joining tours from one of the many "travel cafe". We book a tour from HANDSPAN and was just 8 minutes away. Clean room of reasonable size. Value for money. Only concern is security as the lock on the door was quite ordinary and does not look very secured. Cannot remember having Internet Service in room. But terminal at the Lobby charges USD1.00 for an hour. Good bargain for quick check of email.

October 2005: The Majestic Salute is a good hotel especially for the Asiarooms price, but get a City View suite if possible since the deluxe (or standard rooms) while very nice, are low on natural light - you could be anywhere in the world!! Good if you need quiet to sleep though! This is the only decent hotel in the old part of town meaning it's great for shopping and feeling the real Vietnamese Hanoi, but a little bit of a walk or cyclo trip to some of the sights. I'd definitely choose this one again over being in the sterilized foreigner only part of town tho! Nice breakfast, nice staff.

New hotel, so still unknown.. however this was a great hotel and would recommend it to anyone.. rooms are very clean and well kept.. reception staff are very friendly.. breakfast included and was good.. there us a swimming pool but it was closed at time if my stay.. all in all, it was worth the money and enjoyed my stay here.

Very good hotel with friendly staff, nice breakfast, very good location in the old town. Small but neat and cozy hotel. Free internet access from the room! very good!!! Two things I didn't enjoy staying there were: the door wasn't very safe like high standard hotels. It was just a ordinary lock so I wasn't feeling entirely safe leaving my stuff although they have a safe machine in the room. Also it was very noisy with cars, bikes, night market so very hard to sleep at night and waking up early in the morning! Otherwise everything was pretty good.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Majestic Salute in Hanoi. The service was very good. The buffet breakfast had a good range of eastern and western food. The room was good and clean and bathroom was clean also. The hotel had been newly renovated so very happy with it all. Will definitely stay there again. Close to good shopping area too.
