We booked our hotel in Hanoi just...
We booked our hotel in Hanoi just a couple of week's ago before our trip and, as we travelled during the Chinese New Year holiday, there were not many affordable choices left. We choose the Morning Star hotel because of its good price and great location. You cannot beat location, as it's just round the corner of the City View Cafe, next to the Ho Hiem Lake. The hotel is small and our bedroom (which was not the cheapest) had a very good size but not heater (and it was very cold!) Hotel breakfast must probably be the worst I ever experienced. You have only one choice of drink and food... the best thing was the milk that came in a carton and the toast (4 slices with one butter and just one marmelade... not even enough)Coffee was disgusting. Service was dreaful, we have requested to be picked up at the airport but they forgot. We asked to book the Halong Bay excursion and the day we arrived it wasn't arranged yet... but we still end up going. I didn't particularly like Hanoi so I won't probably go back.
