Ok for a short stop
We stayed for two nights and found the hotel to be grand. Slight problem with the bathroom and a blocked drain. Staff (with the exception of the gentleman who works during the day) were quite unhelpful and at times bordered on rude. Breakfast was average. Room was nice, tidy, clean(ish) but location was quite noisy and it is situated opposite a school which makes some announcement over the tannoys at the school at 7am every morning - not ideal if you're looking to sleep in. It was grand but we won't be coming back to the Garnet.

Really pleasure for all service and I...
Really pleasure for all service and I recommend this hotel in Hanoi if you would like to visit Hanoi , cheap hotel ,clean and lovely room . The staffs were very helpful. Located at central of the old quarter and easily to visit the main places in Hanoi such as : Hoan Kiem lake, Dong Xuan market and Ho chi Minh Complex etc.

Garnet hotel! A clean hotel with friendly...
Garnet hotel! A clean hotel with friendly staff, A good location for Shopping & Relax. All the usual tea, coffee, TV in the rooms, which were very clean and large, also very quite at night so a good night sleep. A lovely early morning walk along the Old Quarter, perfect restaurant down stair. Breakfast was good with western food and local food. A very nice trip to Halong Bay booked with Ms Yen. The internet is free at any time at lobby.

The location of Garnet Hotel is extremely...
The location of Garnet Hotel is extremely good for Hanoi Old- Quarter and very near the Hoan Kiem Lake areas with fully cafe shops, restaurants, bars... At first we were worried that it may be very noisy, but we must admit the area was quiet and extremely pleasant. Our room was very nice and clean with deluxe facilities. Bathroom facilities were excellent as well. Plenty of hot water, refreshments and toiletries added to an extremely pleasant stay. Breakfast was so good with daily breakfast. There were 2 computer at lobby and we could use internet for free. Wireless was also available in all room. We would like to thank Ms Yen so much for her kind help during our stay there and We highly recommend this hotel!

We have 1 month in Vietnam and...
We have 1 month in Vietnam and we plan to stay in Hanoi for two weeks to take first step and take a big rest here and then we go to Halong and Sapa. We booked room via Asia Rooms site and we stayed in the hotel 4 nights and did package tour Halong 3 days 2 nights 1 night sleep on the Boat and 1 night in Cat Ba island Sapa we go on the same day when we come back from Halong bay at 4h30 and take night train at 7h40 Livitran train. The hotel arranged for us. The room in the hotel was very sweet and cute. Very surperise and really loved it. Very brand new and really clean and toilet is our best. we loved this because it face as so clean and very strong water and hot water. The staff is very helpful and kind, they also are very friendly as well. we were very happy and enjoyed staying here and they did for us very excellent trips Both Halong Bay and Sapa with very good service. we took many pictures of the hotel and halong and Sapa. We are so happy when sharing our experience with all others people or customers and really Good in deed. Bless all people in the hotel.

We stayed at least 4 other hotels...
We stayed at least 4 other hotels during our roughly 3 weeks in Vietnam and this hotel was far and away the best place we stayed. Not only was the room beautiful and the location ideal (and the location was RIGHT in the old quarter with great dining and things to do right outside), but the staff were some of the friendliest and most helpful we have EVER encountered in any country. They had excellent suggestions on things to do in Hanoi and practically booked the rest of our travel for us for our remaining time in Vietnam. After arranging our travel to Sapa, an employee even rode with us in the cab to the train station and carried our luggage onto the train to make sure we didn't have any problems. They also held some of our luggage for us even after we had checked out for several nights while we took a trip for a few days. We highly recommend this hotel. If we come back to Hanoi, we'll be staying there.

This is a really great place to...
This is a really great place to stay. We were there for 3 nights. The location is excellent in a small and interesting laneway.The staff were extremely friendly and helpful but never intrusive. The rooms are nice and large. They were actually the only hotel we stayed at in Vietnam with a computer in the room on bonus.The bed was super comfortable and no street noise. The rsstaurnt in downstair was the breakfast which western and local foods. We love this hotel. Wanna to recommend this hotel. One more thing ,travel to the North of Vietnam you should take trips to Ha Long Bay and Sapa , they are really wonderful places.
