good location, good services
We have stayed at Indochina 2 hotel total 3 nights. First night booked by asiarooms.com . The hotel location is great, just 1 minute walking to the Lake, shopping central or any famous places in Hanoi. I also loved their room, very clean, comfortable mattress, nice decoration. Their restaurant on top floor was great with nice view, the buffet breakfast was excellent. The first day in Hanoi, we really did not know where to go, how to go or how to make a good plan. But after talking with hotel staffs, they spent nearly 1 hours to show us all Vietnam, slowly giving us the detail of each famous places. Provided us many options different how to go and how to save the time, save money...
Thanks for all , we had a great time in Hanoi as well as all Vietnam.

Was impressed with the loc and room...
Was impressed with the loc and room settings.. until I saw a cockroach running under my bed! Although I took the hotel taxi to the airport, it turns out to be a "private" unmarked rather old car (probably a private arrangement between the front desk and his own contact). It came 15 minutes later. While the hotel's formal bill shown just my room charges, it did not include the taxi (US$15) and the one local phone call (US$3 - very expensive) I made. When I asked for the receipt, I was given a one w/o the hotel letter-head (but with a hotel's chop over it). I think it is better to use the White "Hanoi Taxi" which is clean and reliable and available readily just outside the hotel. Just make sure that the meter is not "spoiled" before boarding the taxi. While the staff are general friendly and helpful,. If traveling alone, just be careful not be taken in on offer of "young leggy, sexy, undergrad girls" (and avail anytime!!)
