Excellent
We stayed here and the Hotel Calypso while in Hanoi. They are both excellent hotels with only a banana pancake between them (the one at this hotel was slightly better than that at the Calypso). Service was excellent, the room was great despite being an inside room it still had an inside window, breakfast was excellent, computer in the room, very clean, etc. The Sapphire is on a busy road but we didn't really notice it and it is well located in the old centre.

The hotel decor and presentation are excellent....
The hotel decor and presentation are excellent. The hotel staff is also very well mannered and attentive to every detail and request. We had a free upgrade to a junior suite on the 3rd night which was absolutely wonderful! The deluxe double though nice is a bit tight regarding space.There are quite a few very nice and reasonably priced Vietnamese restaurants 5 to 10 minutes walk from the hotel.This hotel is also very conveniently placed right in the old district.Breakfast though not many choices was cooked upon order and very tastefully cooked especially the hot toasted bread roll.We had stayed in 5 star hotels like in Madrid (paying 5 times as much)which offer only half star service compared to this one in Hanoi! We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this hotel and the free internet in the room itself as well!
