Hotel is situated very near the Hoam Kiem lake and surrounded by rows of shops. I have booked my stay at 3 diferent hotels on my 4 night trip in Hanoi and leave the 4th night open and i decided to go bask to Golden Wings hotel. Rooms are very clean,have bathtub. Staff are very friendly when you ask for tours and eating places. Will recomended hotel, after i compre my stay at 2 other diferent hotel.

This is a small Hotel managed by the owner, a very welcoming man. There is no lift and the wide of the stairs is enough for one person. The bathroom has a shower which you can use comfortably while your are sitted in the toilet...there is no more space.
The staff are very welcoming, smiling. English spoken but do not expect fluency from all of the members.
Clean and conveniently located is a good choice for butget travelers and backpackers.

I also stayed at the elegance hotel down the road, and that hotel even though being 13 US more was so much better. this one has a stairwell v small to the dining area which is quite cramped. my room (ground floor) was quite noisy

What a great choice! Lovely staff and great room, location. Only small thing was basic breakfast toast/bananas, tea/coffee. But its a little thing and don't let it stop you from staying here!

The staff at Golden Wings Hotel were excellent!Very friendly and helpful. We were cheated by the taxi driver and the staff at Golden Wings Hotel helped us in dealing with the taxi driver. The room is really great.We had a great time Golden Wings Hotel and would certainly recommend this hotel to our friends. It is really great compared to the hotel we stayed in Hanoi in the previous night.

This hotel was friendly and an excellent location, not too far from the Hoan Kiem lake or Old Quarter, the rooms are large,very clean,bright & have a window & lovely furnishings..
All rooms have a balconny with internet access which is a real bonus.
I have stayed elsewhere on 3 previous visits to Hanoi but this hotel is definitely good value for money, including an excellent breakfast. A small well stocked supermarket is about a block away on the same street.
All staff are very helpful & they can arrange an overnight boat trip on Halong Bay, which was excellent -- worth the extra expense, but I\'d suggest that you book before arriving..

I was suggested the Hanoi Royal Hotel through 1 of our friends from Hanoi and did stay here for 1 nights. Fantastic staff. Good sized room with good facilities. Daily fruit basket a treat and excellent breakfast - Western and Asian. . Walking distance to Temple of Literature and not far to Mausoleum, though Old Quarter is a longish walk. Excellent $$ value for sure. very cheap hotel& tour.i mcome back Ha Noi again...Thank you for your help.

we were stay at Golden Wings hotel for 3 days. They provide very good service specially hotel manager named "Giang". He sure that we get good service even we travel to Sapa and Halong Bay. We really have a sweet memory during the period. The staff very friendly . I will recommend my friend to stay there.
Golden Wings Hotel was a wonderful...
Golden Wings Hotel was a wonderful place and new hotel to stay when we first arrived in Vietnam. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We felt very pampered and special. Everyone spoke English and helped us to arrange trips to Sapa and Halong Bay. They had staff meet us at the airport and the train station. We would have been very overwhelmed at the train station if they weren't there waiting for us. We would recommend and we will come back to Golden Wings Hotel again.

Golden Wings Hotel is located in Ma May st, good location to 36 streets, nearby eateries and purchases. Travel agents for also dotted around this area. The hotel offer US$25/night including breakfast (eggs and toast, or chicken rice noodle)
Airport transfer to hotel (US$15) and back to airport (US$10) unless more than 3 days stay, as claimed by staff, u need to confirm.
As my trip is not entirely a budget trip, it met my requirement of comfort and need for hot water shower (Nov trip, 20 degrees Celsius) , while being very reasonably priced. My 4 days Hanoi trip was made even more memorable due to the warm treatment from the hotel boss Mr Cao Giang. He persuaded me to stay at their hotel for the 2nd overnight before departure and facilitated the transition during our tours and have our luggages deposited with them while we went for the Halong Bay day tour.
I would strongly recommend you to come stay at the hotel, they can be flexible and accommodating to your needs in Hanoi.
As or the various tours in Hanoi, please do your own research and compare prices. But if u prefer the convenience, the hotel can cater a beautiful package for you.
My purchase experiences in Hanoi:
Mineral water (Small) D$10,000 at airport arrival
Bottled drink (small) D$20,000 at departure (US$1, conversion ~ based on US$1 to D$19,000)
Mineral water (big) D$8,000 in big convenience store; D$10,000 at any road side;
Viet coffee at roadside D$25,000
Bike ride (short distance) D$15,000, but most ask for D$40,000, taxi is cheaper than bike, and safer (but insist meter, and confirm destination 1st)
Pho (rice noodle) D$15,000 to D$35,000 depending from roadside to restaurant. Do be bold and try new foods along the streets, but drink water from bottle, safest. :)
