Budget, good place
Very good low budget hotel, very friendly, aircon is working well and with no noise, bathroom is ok (but vietnamese style...). Breakfast is basic, made to order. Good location, in the old quarter. Laundry service 2$/kg, but you can find cheaper in the streets.
promise.. promise but none is fulfilled
I stayed here on March 28th 2011, had bad experience here
1. The staff didn't pick us at the train station, because he woke up late.
2. when we opened the room they gave to us, the other staffs slept there, then we're told to move to another room, and the next 5 minute they told us to go back to the first room, they didn't even clean the room.
3. we booked halong bay tour from this hotel, and on departure day, the told us, the tour was full, so we missed halong bay tour.
4. it's said breakfast is included, when we told them we want to have breakfast, they said.. no ... no breakfast !!!!!!!!!!!!

Very good place to stay in Hanoi. The staff are so friendly and make our stay so welcome. Well located, room is big and clean. We feel like we underpaid!!!

We stayed at Hanoi Emperor Hotel for 2 nights, went to Ha Long Bay and another 2 nights, to Sapa and another 1 night this year.
To compare with other hotels we've stayed in Vietnam this hotel is not cheap, but it is not expensive either. Hanoi is an expensive place comparing to Hue, Hoi an, Nha Trang,...ect. All in all the $ 22 US twin room is just worth every penny!!!.
The staff really made the diffirence!!!, so friendly and helpful, they helped us save alot of money recommending what/where/how to go/eat,...
Very good, clean and comfortable room, hot water goes smoothy, aircon is good.
Breakfast is simple, but we understand that this is not 4-5 star hotel. You can;t get sick from it haha.
Location is very good, closed to most restaurants, bars, lake
We will definately go back to Hanoi Emperor next time.
I made the booking while still in...
I made the booking while still in Hue and emailed my train details. I received a call two hours later saying they would pick me up. I arrived at 4am the next day and someone stood outside the station with a board with my name on. The taxi there was free. The room (ready straight away) was as described, quiet, clean and comfortable. The internet was free and the breakfast OK. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. When they saw me making a booking for the next place, they insisted I print out the confirmation for free. On checking out, I was charged the correct amount, a taxi was arranged to pick me up, and they phoned the next hotel at my request to confirm it for me. It's a good place with great staff, and I'm happy to recommend it
