A good hotel just for stay(Never book for any recommended packages)
Hidden charm is a boutique hotel. The room we stayed is big, clean and beautiful. The noise from construction next door may be a nuisance to some. One caution : Do not take up any packages offerred otherwise you will end up paying double compared to prices outside!. The sales team- the manager and his lady executive are too commercialised who would convince you to sign up for tour packages which are too expensive compared to travel agencies outside! We paid more than USD150/person when others in the same tour group paid for USD80(through travel agencies)!! However we were lucky enough, for when we arrived at Halong bay, we were told that there was a strike and all boats/junks came to a total stop! We could claim back our money by just paid USD10/person and not continued with the tour or continued for a beach stay without refund with halong bay cruise the next day. We opted out with another two German friends and spent a night in a nice hotel had fresh cheap seafood and shopped at the night market at the jetty. We were even lucky to book for halong bay 6 hour cuise the next day. We spent only USD26/person for the cruise(with seafood lunch) and a specially arranged bus back to Hanoi!

Very helpful and accommodating
The manager and staff did almost everything they could to make our stay enjoyable, even re-arranging our dates with them around the tours to Sapa and Halong Bay that they set up for us. The location was great, we could walk to most tourist venues, and they even went out of their way to pick up tickets for the water puppet show after the office was closed. However, the accommodation they arranged at Sapa was horrible (Eden Hotel); the windows had 1/2 inch gaps which the cold wind blew in (when we complained they filled them with toilet paper so we weren't quite as cold!) the food was almost inedible with laundry hanging in the dining room! Don't stay at Eden Hotel in Sapa!

“ Memorable “
This is my second stay in Hanoi and I chose to stay in Hidden Charm Hotel because it has a very good review from tripadvisor members and I really glad I did!
The staff and check in process was very warm and welcoming. They were willing to do anything to make the stay as enjoyable as possible. Even the security carrying our heavy bags to reception on the last day, and had disappeared before we could even tip him!
The room had been prepared when we arrive with complimentary fruits .The bathroom was big and spacious. We really like the sense of peace and calm when I stayed there
Location is also very good, it's located at the heart of the Old quarter with many restaurants, shops… nearby. For us it is everything we love about Hanoi and their beautiful beaches and culture. Although just 3 nights, but I am really satisfied of hotel services and would like to say thanks to all of them had brought me a great experiences again in Hanoi

It's really worth to stay here!
I want to thank all staff at Hidden Charm Hotel firstly for their help very much. I have had a great stay, in a very comfortbale , cozy , and clean room. My room was on the 3rd floor and with big window, accessed by elevator, spacy, and quiet. I have extended my stay for one more night before leaving for Hue, and they gave me another wonderful room on the back side which was larger and very beautiful too, I had a good view from a room on the top floor.Hotel is located in a very quiet street which is closed to the lake, and shopping streets, markets, I didn't spend much time to find the streets with a map of hotel. I think it's one of the most quiet streets in Hanoi. Breakfast was healthy, and fresh, although they should have served more season fruits.
But the best thing I think that was hotel staff. They were to kind , friendlu, smiling, and very helpful. From the receptionist girl to housekeepers, sales manager... they were trying to help me to have an easy trip by all their recommendations. I booked a Ha Long tour through sales manager on Hanoi Opera Cruise, and it was such a wonderful and well organized trip, which I think I should've stayed longer on!!! It was a traditional and classic junk ,big enough to feel comfortable and not busy, especially their good was great!
With all their help, I think everything will be smooth for a middle- age lady like me travel alone arround Vietnam. I will recommend the Hidden Charm hotel for everybody.

The best hotel in Hanoi I have ever stayed.
I have been to Hanoi few times and I almost tried to stay at different hotels. My friends recommended me this hotel and I also read many active reviews on the internet, and this was such a good choice. Hidden Charm Hotel is small, but quite new, and located in a very quiet street which is closed to the lake ( get out hotel and turn right for few minutes). My room was so well-equipped, clean, one thing was important is an available elevator in this small hotel which is almost lacked off in others little hotels in Hanoi I have tried before. Staff was so polite, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, fresh, but not much choice. It doesn't matter while I just need a cup of coffee in the morning as usual, But I tink they can improved. I absolutely stay at Hdden Charm hotel in my next visit , instead of trying another one.!
