I visited to ho chi minh in...
I visited to ho chi minh in feb 2007. the hotel overall is pretty good. good location to anywhere in the district 1. staff are quite friendly and helpful. behind the hotel is the backpacker lane.. very nice have a lot of bar and coffee shop there. the drawing back factors are the bar @ hotel downstair, its very noisy if you are staying in the lower floor. i cant fall asleep till 3 am in the first night due to the noise from the bar and the road. (PS: i am quite sensitive to noise) but the hotel staffs are very helpful, change my room to the top floor of the other wings in the next day i reported to them. breakfast is very limited choice, taste is not that fantastic but still can eat. the facilities are also limited. you have to go to liberty 4 near by for use of facilities. however it is good for the price. i used asiarooms for my holiday, will still use again for my next trip.

we have a great experience with Liberty...
we have a great experience with Liberty 3, overall is good. the staff is friendly and they have personal touch with us during the party(but like other traveller experience,we need to speak slowly and need to listen carefully to/from them)we happened to be there during year end, they had organised a New Year party at Liberty 4 serve with finger food, wine and some performance, game.... that was great... i'm planning to go Ho Chin Minh in March this year, i just check on the hotel rate, it is increase by about 15%. may i know what is the reason? anyway, thanks. i will still choose Liberty 3. it worth more than it price.

Experience at this hotel was good overall....
Experience at this hotel was good overall. The rate is a bit higher than the other hotels in the area. Everyone was friendly and helpful with exception to one of the staff members at the desk.

Liberty 3 was a nice hotel with...
Liberty 3 was a nice hotel with spacious rooms with very friendly and efficient staff. We found it very pricey when we looked down the alleys and found some nice and much cheaper hotels in quieter areas. One big problem was the noise of the traffic over the main road and the windows were very thin so was difficult to sleep. The room behind the front rooms was alot quieter. Breakfast could have offered a few more cereals and maybe pancakes or hotcakes for a change. There were more asian choices than western.

The location is great just beside the...
The location is great just beside the backpackers' street. Can easily tailor-made the Vietnamese ao-dai or the Chinese cheong sam at any of the tailors along the street. One can also book local tours through Sinh Cafe or Delta Adventure. Also, it is just about 5 minutes walk from Ben Thanh market which serves its purpose when you have last minute shopping to do. Stayed in the Deluxe Room on level 5. Though a little noisy, it was bearable. Did not find the music from the bar downstairs too loud. Instead, it was the traffic on the road in front that was a little noisy. Room size is definitely more than adequate with a separate living room area with sofa. It was a pleasant surprise as I did not expect that. Not much facilities but room is clean and service is good. We asked for flasks of hot water a few times and the housekeeping unit was really prompt even during midnight. Staff was friendly, especially the bellboys. A few times, the cabs dropped us off opposite the hotel and the bellboys crossed over to help us cross the busy street. All the staff we communicated to spoke English. Thumbs up! It has been a pleasant 4-night stay for me. Will certainly go back again. Cheers!

If you are on the first floor...
If you are on the first floor and are not deaf, you will be when you check out. The music coming from the hotel ground floor bar makes the first two floors on this hotel unsuitable for all but the complete deaf. This has to be the noisiest hotel room that I’ve ever stayed in, which is a shame as apart from the noise, the hotel was clean, tidy and fully functional, with very helpful and friendly staff (the hotel has only one lift which can a pain at busy times). If you have already booked, then you must insist-demand a room on the 3rd floor or above. PS If you are wondering what time the music stops.. Just in time for the morning rush hour traffic noise to kick in.

There was nothing really wrong with this...
There was nothing really wrong with this hotel, though for this price I would have expected sheets, blankets or a bed from later than 1975. While I did save a fair bit off the rack rate thanks to asiarooms.com, after checking in and wandering around the city I found I could have stayed in much nicer hotels for about half the price. The staff were friendly and helpful and had a decent command of English. NOTE - this hotel is quite noisy, the windows are not double glazed nor are the curtains thick enough to absorb any of the sounds from the very busy street below.

The staff were very helpful... always smiling and willing to lend a hand! The breakfast was also surprisingly good and the room, for the rate we paid, was unbeatable! I would definitely stay here again in Liberty 3.. JOE FLORES Manila, Philippines
