Great location, good variety of food for breakfast. On the other hand, the airconditioner is not well placed in the room, in one bed you are freezing and in the other is very hot.
Good Location (District 1)
We are family of 3 Adults.We booked a family room of a double and a single bed,was a big room for USD120/night.The hotel location is very convenient to other major tourist area.The hotel is located next to Thuong Xa Tax Center .is airconditioned and there's a super market,you can buy bottle mineral water and vietnam famous coffee as souvenir .Ben Thanh market is walking distance 10-15mins.If you are worry about the "traffic".Then take a taxi.Less than USD3.We joined a one day trip to Mekong Delta(Where you visit some local factories of honey and coconut candies and expericing a river boat ride etc,you can book the trip a day before at the hotel counter.We paid USD34.Other tour agency quoted us USD94.Same experiencing and too ridiculous if to pay USD94.Binthay Market(Chinatown),war remnants museum and to water puppet theatre are not very far or expensive by cab..One thing to take note..always take the "BIGGER SIZE CAB" the smaller one,although operated by meter.But is double the price...
Old world charm with new world functionality.
The Kimdo-Royal Hotel provided us with very good accomodation at a very competetive price. The hotel has an unbeatable location and employs very helpful and courteous staff. My wife and I would certainly very happily stay here again. The only way that they could improve things is to provide a littl;e bit more storage space for clothes - however this is a minor quible and it is worth sacrificing a little utility for attractive traditional Vietnamese art/ambience.

Well located In the former old Saigon. Staff very friendly. We stayed three nights with my daughter and enjoyed it.
Only one point: the breakfast room is not well aerated and you keep the odors of your breakfast's fried eggs on your clothes for a while.

The hotel location is good and convenient. Easy to access to the rest of the place. Is safe to stay at this district.
Cant go past this for location and 5 star quality
What more can we say, 5 Star Quality for a 3 Star price, very good location, great food and service. Tried to rebook for additional nights but was fully booked unfortunately. So had to move down the road to another Hotel.
Very close to the Markets.
Word of Warning, although no fault of the Hotel Major Construction Site down the Road with Excavators, Rock Breakers and the like which made sleeping very hard with all the vibration and noise. Although every other Hotel in the close proximity will have this issue, so think twice about this area for the next 4 months.

Pleasant stay
Our family of 4 had a pleasant stay of 3 nights at the hotel. It is located in such a central place that we could easily access to anywhere. The breafast was brillant. All staff were very helpful and friendly.
We stayed for New Year's Eve and the cost of our nights stay included a complimentary New Year's Eve Party. The hotel was extremely well positioned and the staff were helpful, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We would stay at the hotel again and recommend it.

As always, our booking through Asiarooms was perfectly arranged, we got what we wanted. Kimdo had done some renovation to the main lobby which was pleasantly comfortable, breakfast was good and room housekeeping were excellent. This was our second visit to Kimdo Hotel and will consider Kimdo on our next visit.

This is my first trip to Ho Chi Minh City and the location in this hotel is most ideal for shoppers like me. Shopping, restaurants, sight-seeing etc. is most convenient and accessible even to first timers. Due to the friendly environment, this has given us (friends & myself) the impression that we may be back again pretty soon. Hotel and room are generally clean and well maintained, the staff are friendly. The most I liked best is the breakfast provided by the hotel.
However, the hotel room-rate is slightly on the high side. It would be more ideal if the rate can be reduced lower.
