Nice hotel and good location
This was our 1st hotel out of 3 in Vietnam. We arrived early after a long flight from the UK, to be told our room was ready. However the reception staff were very slow and if someone else came along they stopped what they were doing for you and started to service other people, this was a bit annoying and did happen a few times.
Room was lovely and spacious, we had after for a double bed but got 2 singles, they were pushed together, so wasn't too much of a problem, but would have been nice to get what we asked for. The staff would knock each night to see if we needed any extra toilets etc which was good as there was only 2 towels in the room and being a lady there was no towel for my hair each night.
My partner celebrated his 40th birthday while we were here and on that day we arrived back to the room and found a card for him and a platter of fruit, which was lovely (i hadn't informed them of his birthday).
The hotel was in walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go to. The concierge team were very helpful and the complimentary shuttle bus was really handy to get to Ben Tranh market.
We decided to have a drink in the hotel on our last night, we arrived there at 11pm and everything was pretty much shut. We ordered a drink from the menu, the price seemed reasonable, but when the bill came they had added 10% tax on to it and then another 5% service charge and this then made the drinks extortionate and not worth the cost, this was disappointing and we felt like we were being ripped off.
We left the hotel very early - 5:30am and there was still a taxi waiting there to take us to the airport.
The front of this hotel is lovely and pulling up and seeing a huge christmas tree in the foyer was lovely!
