I was very much pleased to stay...
I was very much pleased to stay at the Majestic Hotel. Although we had a riverside room it was not noisy and really nice furnished. The Hotel is located very centrally and I would recommend it every time.

I was there during the 80th anniversary of the hotel. The service and facilities was excellent. The only problem is that there wer a lot of parties in the bar and restaurant. Therefore we could not use these places during the evenings and sometimes lunches.

Majestic is really nice hotel, from the roof you can see the Mekong. The place is noisy as Saigon is a noisy city. Even if they doubled the window you can ear the street noise. For those who have a light sleep request some rooms inside the building.

Very friendly and co-operative staff; The hotel has a good location to get to know Ho Chi Minh City. The reservations with asiarooms is excellent and much cheaper as the public rates!

July 2005: Great hotel- staff are extremely pleasant and always ready to please. good location.
Hotel has some construction- this is not too loud and it is a little noisy at times during the day though not overly and also we were not there much during the day. (though we were able to relax mid afternoon). The pool is out of action but they offer pool use at the Grand Hotel (20m up the road). the hotel has quite a good gym too- plenty of free weights and very modern walkers/bikes.
Breakfast buffet was very good- where are the pancakes though!! My partner was disappointed there was no coco-pops...
We were in need of somewhere to keep valuables before our stay (we went on a Mekong Delta 2 day trip) and they were very helpful in storing our valuables in the hotel while we were there!

It is a hotel with a lot of character. But be warned: They have VERY different rooms. Some of the rooms have no outside windows (only to an internal hallway), some have windows with a concrete wall about 1 m in front of them and all the kitchen smell coming up thru this space. We got one of these first. They also have really charming quiet rooms going to the pool and nice rooms with a viw of the street and the river. Depending of the room you get you will love or hate the hotel.My ratung is 2 for some rooms and 8 for others.

A beautiful hotel with helpful staff and good facilities. Fantastic Bathroom!!! Great position on the river and a quick walk to City Centre- would definately recommend to anyone.

The Majestic was aperfect name for this hotel. The location across from the Perfume river was perfect. The hotel and staff were first rate. Our room was large and nicely decorated. Starting at this hotel was a great beginning to our stay in Vietnam.

We had a huge, wonderful room with a wrought iron balcony that overlooked the river. The room was classic Art Deco, which was a great surprise. It was like being in a 1940's black and white movie. The breakfast was excellent and service was very good. The lobby decor doesn't quite measure up and it has the tiniest elevator I have ever seen, but we still loved the romance of the place. Pretty pool too.
