Worth Staying
We stay for 3 nights in a deluxe room. They gave us 10th floor where the water pressure is quite low and we requested to change lower floor's room the next day. when we were at 2nd floor room, it was quite noisy outside but it stops after around 11pm. Breakfast was great, esp the french toast, my favourite. Really nothing to complaint. There is no swimming pool in this 4 star hotel, Asia Rooms should amend what has been stated in their "hotel facilities". There is a tour agent at the right hand side of the hotel, next to Ciao Cafe, called Ben Thant Tourist. They provide cheapest day tours. Take my advice, DON'T use SaigonTourist at Le Thanh Ton, they are far too expensive and nothing special. There are a few good restaurants at a side road at right of the hotel, you can try Pho24 for good pho, Lemongrass for good vietnam cuisine and Augustine restaurant for good French Cuisine and a good bakery opposite.
This hotel is just nearby Rex, Sheraton, Caravelle, Palace, Continental. A really good location but half the price of other famous hotels.
No 7-11 at all, but you can buy cheap drinking water at nearby Parkson supermarket or circle K (24hr) opp opera theatre, beside caravelle.
Ben Thanh market just within walking distance along Le Loi.
From Hotel to Airport, request to pay a lump sum US$10, don go by metre as it will be higher to pay if charge by metre. Its too jam on the road.
