Windsor Plaza Hotel although situated in Cho Lon (pronounced Cher Lern)which is a good 10 minutes shuttle ride to District 1 of Ho Chi Minh City, it provides good value for money, comfortable accomodation. The regular complimentary shuttle service which operates every half hour from hotel to District 1 and back makes it convenient for guests to spend time at Ben Tanh Market, tourist sights and food outlets. The last shuttle every night is 12am to hotel. A printed brochure on the shuttle service operating times is available from the conceirge on the ground floor.
There are only 3 floors (19th to 21st) of non-smoking rooms, and there are 2 bands playing nightly at the 7th and 24th floor.
The complimentary buffet breakfast is very well provided for, comprising, Asian and Western cuisine. Windsor Plaza Hotel offers a buffet dinner nightly at US$13.50+ + per person, and really good value, because it boasts as the widest buffet spread in the city. To savour every dish at the buffet spread you need to be either very hungry or have an enormous appetite.
Next door to Windsor Plaza is An Dong Plaza, a 4-storey building comprising of banks and shops offering clothes, luggages, food outlet, disco and a supermarket. Another convenience for guests who does not have time to go to the city.
Understand that the Windsor Plaza Hotel is in the process of upgrading its image and improving its service. Therefore, with the improved image and service, the room rates may not be the same Windsor Plaza Hotel this time next year.

Very efficient service. Very good breakfast. Rooms spacious well appointed. Transport to downtown area very good. Language was a slight problem as most employees spoke very little English.

Staying at the executive room offers you privileged facilities.
Buffet breakfast was excellent with at least 8 different types of bread besides the many choices of french pastries. The 'pho' vietnamese noodles is very delicious.

The rooms were clean, quiet and spacious. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to help. Only downside is the location. The hotel is actually located near lots of shops, restaurants and markets, but it's very far from the city centre.

Great breakfast (very good range of foods for all nationalities), but the location was quite a way from the city center, however this was offset by the shuffle that ran every 30 minutes. Good value for money, but do not expect to check-in early. When we stayed here, no many westerners stayed here...

Good hotel, good price but not in the heart of the action...although the hotel does provide a shuttle bus to the "downtown core" - District 1.
We did return after our first visit however.

The shuttle to the center and airport is convenient and the drivers are very helpfull.
I recommend the soup noodle for the breakfast.
You can do some interesting shopping at the An Dong plaza, just below the hotel.
The massage at the hotel SPA is not bad, but be prepared to hardly negotiate the tips.
Only real bad point: even though we asked for a non smoking room, we were given a room on a non smoking floor with a strong smell of cold smoke ...

The room assigned was very good and spacious. Facilities are good. The shuttle service to District 1 eliminates issue of travel between District 5 and 1 , where most of the attractions and shoping is. Restaurents were good and there is a choice. Airport transfers were provided by the hotel which is another plus. Would recommend to others .
