We stayed at the Hoi An Hotel...
We stayed at the Hoi An Hotel for 3 nights in a deluxe room and were happy with what we got for our money. If you stay for 3 nights or more you get a complimentary meal voucher for 2 at the hotel's restaurant, this was a generous set menu meal worth about $18-20 and the service was great. The hotel pool is busy due to the bus tour groups that come through and it's hard to get a sunlounge but it quitened down at night after dinner. The location is pretty good and only a short walk or ride down to the river, restaurants and shops. Our room was spacious and clean with a nice view overlooking the pool on the 3rd floor, it was very quiet. Breakfast was pretty good for the price. The reception staff are helpful and made sure we were happy during our stay. Bicycles are avaiable for hire at the hotel for 15,000 VD a day - the standard local rate and internet is about 15,000 VD per half hour - a bit annoying considering the cheap guesthouses provide for free. Be prepared for the hotel's airport transfer driver's attempt to sell you car tours during your stay - something we haven't experienced elsewhere!
