Unfortunately, I think we were given the worst room in the hotel - it had no view out the window and overlooked a dirt road. Given the hotel was not full this is surprising. The room was OK, but the bathroom had a broken light which was never fixed. It is also a bit strange when they give you a list of the cost of all fixtures an fittings and say if you break or damage any you'll have to pay - I thought that is why room rates are obviously higher than the real cost of a stay. Also interesting given that all fittings and fixtures were fairly worn! There are no lifts, so if you don't want to climb flights of stairs make sure you request and get a ground floor room. The pool and public facilities like restaurants were great. Hoi An is only a small village, but this hotel is on the outer edge - an easy walk to town. We'll probably stay out at the beach resorts next time and catch the courtesy bus into town, or stay in one of the smaller and cheaper hotels in town.

What a delightful surprise to drive into...
What a delightful surprise to drive into the Hoi An Hotel and find we were in the heart of the town but buffered from the never ending horns and activity in the streets by spacious gardens. The rooms were clean, well taken care of and modern. Even as a full time resident of SE Asia and accustomed to the heat and humidity, it was impossible to be active between 11 - 4 during the day so the pool and garden area was a relaxing treat. The staff were always helpful and cheerful...with more then adequate language skills to assist guests. There are no lifts so if stairs are a problem be sure to arrange a ground floor room. Breakfast was included and adeqaute and at the cost of the room, can't complain. Helpful Hint: Danang airport is only 30 km away from Hoi An. Don't worry about pre booking transport to and from Hoi An. A metered taxi is only about US 16$ one way and they are plentiful. The hotel was great about booking taxis for us.

What a gem! This Hotel is as...
What a gem! This Hotel is as good as you get. Good breakfast, free Wi-Fi (only near the receptio), nice swimming pool. Close to restaurants and tailors (this is what my wife comes here for). Good english speaking staff (not all). Overall, very good value for money. Will definitely recommend to others.

Having travelled round Thailand and Cambodia, Hoi...
Having travelled round Thailand and Cambodia, Hoi An was a perfect rest from the hustle and bustle of big cities and tourist attractions - and the Hoi An hotel played a big part in that. The hotel is right in the old town so was 2 minutes walk from all the tailors (great for regular fittings) and restaurants, and a short motorbike/taxi/bike ride from the beach. The hotel pool was lovely and the poolside bar and restaurant were handy. Had a great stay, would recommend it to anyone.

Good larger hotel with a nice pool,...
Good larger hotel with a nice pool, conveniently located in the city center. The only disappointment was the breakfast that was poor, and the restaurant overall was substandard and overpriced. We cannot compare the hotel room itself with other hotels in Hoi An, because this is the only one we stayed in, but we can compare the food. We had a wonderful, elegant and reasonably priced set dinner in the restaurant of the Ha An hotel. It was the best dinner we ever had in Vietnam.

the staff was rude because we were...
the staff was rude because we were vietnamese... everytime we walked by the reception the staff looked like (their parents are dead) they never smile and look soo mad... But everything an american/french/ OR what so ever couple walked by, they smile!! There is nothing wrong with the hotel, just the staff who doesn't fit there!! We booked the hotel for 4 nights, but only stayed there for 2 nights... I was horrible staying there... Not just the staff at the reception, but those who worked in the restaurant at the hotel is (bastard)... I only reccommand not vietnamese people to stay there, or else you'll regret badly... Had an enjoyable stay and the evenings...
Had an enjoyable stay and the evenings were quiet. The hotel is centrally located and has easy access to all of the important sights. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Requests were handled quickly and with pleasure. Great choice for breakfast.
