Overall, we had a lovely stay at the resort. There's just a few things to note. One of us was bitten by a big mosquito on one of the 3 nights we stayed there. Otherwise, we did not see any other mosquitos in the room.
We chose the River View Deluxe Room as it was recommended that it's quieter facing the river. We were alloted a room on the 3rd floor (no lifts in the hotel). However, in the early hours of the morning and even in the middle of the night, there will frequently be the sound of a motor river boat passing by the hotel. It can be quite disturbing but other than that, the river is actually quite quiet. As for other noise disturbances, the hotel's housekeeping is actually quite noisy during the day (our toddler had a bit of difficulty taking his nap during the afternoons) moving furniture and shouting to one another. Other than that, the hotel staff is very friendly and helpful.
The beach is actually right opp. the road of the hotel and they provide towels for the hotel guests. It's actually a very nice private stretch of beach. Not the pure white sandy beach, but it's clean. The waters are not clear like other Thailand beaches we went to, but otherwise, it's ok.
There's 2 swimming pools in the hotel, one one on each end. They are quite small. More for dipping in, not really for swimming.
On the whole, it was a nice hotel but if we ever visit again, we may just choose a resort at the beach so as not to be disturbed by the noise from the river boats.
