Overall, we liked this hotel. They had decorated our bed beautifully because we were on our honeymoon. We had a nice room but the smell of mold (mildew) was really bad. The hotel next door had a karaoke night out doors and it was really loud until 9:30pm or so.

Overall, we had a lovely stay at...
Overall, we had a lovely stay at the resort. There's just a few things to note. One of us was bitten by a big mosquito on one of the 3 nights we stayed there. Otherwise, we did not see any other mosquitos in the room. We chose the River View Deluxe Room as it was recommended that it's quieter facing the river. We were alloted a room on the 3rd floor (no lifts in the hotel). However, in the early hours of the morning and even in the middle of the night, there will frequently be the sound of a motor river boat passing by the hotel. It can be quite disturbing but other than that, the river is actually quite quiet. As for other noise disturbances, the hotel's housekeeping is actually quite noisy during the day (our toddler had a bit of difficulty taking his nap during the afternoons) moving furniture and shouting to one another. Other than that, the hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The beach is actually right opp. the road of the hotel and they provide towels for the hotel guests. It's actually a very nice private stretch of beach. Not the pure white sandy beach, but it's clean. The waters are not clear like other Thailand beaches we went to, but otherwise, it's ok. There's 2 swimming pools in the hotel, one one on each end. They are quite small. More for dipping in, not really for swimming. On the whole, it was a nice hotel but if we ever visit again, we may just choose a resort at the beach so as not to be disturbed by the noise from the river boats.

We were unfamiliar with the Hoi An...
We were unfamiliar with the Hoi An area, and this hotel, but everything was a pleasant surprise. We had a room on the river, which I would highly recommend, great view, very serene, nice balcony to sit out on. Could not see or hear the ocean from anywhere in the hotel that I saw, but it is very convenient across the street and is private. Very wide nice beach, good waves and looks kike would be safe to swim. The breafast buffet was very good, and included. Did not use the restaurant otherwise, too many others to try in town. The pools were very nice.....lots of good memories.

This was the most expensive place we stayed at in Vietnam but it was too far out of Hoi An and the shuttle buses did not run often enough. They overcharged for tours and airport taxi. We booked a deluxe river view room but all we could see from the room was palm trees. We were on the 3rd floor (no lift) so it was hard climbing the stairs all the time. It was overpriced for what we got. Better value staying in some of the hotels right in Hoi An town.

Great hotel, just out of town by the beach. A free shuttle bus means you've got the best of both worlds - the town on your doorstep, the beach stumbling distance. Pool, gym and spa means there's loads to keep you busy when not heading down to gorgeous Hoi An. Only real suggestion - book a room looking onto the river so you don't get woke up by the noisy traffic on the beach raod.

I stayed at the Hoi An Beach...
I stayed at the Hoi An Beach Resort with a friend in February 2008. The Beach Resort is lovely, with well-appointed rooms and clean facilities. Breakfast is good and provides a variety of choices, but unfortunately it finishes at 9:30am so you can't have a long sleep in. There are some great little seafood restaurants within walking distance. The resort is located opposite the beach, and about a 10 minute bus/taxi/motorbike ride into town. They provide buses into town, but not as often as you'd like. The resort itself is lovely, with well-appointed rooms and clean facilities. It wasn't warm enough for us to use the pool but it looked really clean and inviting! The staff were mostly friendly and helpful, but not as nice as some other hotel staff we'd recently met on our travels. Rather than being a family-run business, you could tell that the staff didn't have as much of a care-factor about your stay. We were really disappointed to find that the advertised facilities of spa and sauna are not actually free of charge - you have to pay to use their upmarket day spa to utilise these and it costs upwards of $75 US dollars per treatment (which is about 5 times more than the cost of a massage or spa anywhere else in Hoi An). This would be a great place to stay for retired couples, families who aren't on a budget or business travellers. It wasn't worth the money for two young (28 year old) friends and we would have rather spend half the amount for similar accommodation closer to town. For any young travellers on a budget, I recommend that you look elsewhere.

WE enjoyed our stay very much. Hoi An was very nice and the resort was very nice too. It was a perfect location between the beach and the river. Service was very good too and people was kind. We highly recomend this.
