great value hotel
A great hotel made special by the family who run it . For the price it it would be hard to find a better value hotel anywhere. The staff go the extra step to look after their guests and nothing is too much trouble. Located adjacent to the train line but the trains were not much of a concern to us. Everywhere we went in Vietnam the people were friendly and obliging but the Canh Dieu staff went out of there way to help and make our trip better.
A Very Good Hotel Value
This is a family run hotel that puts extra emphasis on making sure that the guests are well taken care of. The room we stayed in was large and sunny, with wifi and the hotel had an elevator. The young proprietor went out of his way to help by introducing us to local activities of interest. I recommend this hotel to anyone interested in a good value run by a family that cares around its clientele. A++
“Value for Money”
I have stayed in hundreds of hotels and guesthouses over the years but this one proved to have the most hospitable and welcoming staff I have had the pleasure of coming across! There were too many occasions to mention when the staff 'went that extra mile' but they did and made our few days in Ninh Binh less stressful and more enjoyable than if we had we not chosen to stay there!

Canh Dieu Hotel was probably the best choice we made during our entire trip through Vietnam. We got there by train very early in the morning and were welcomed with the best breakfast! (The banana pancakes are just the best, make sure you do try them!) . If you wanna do a day trip, book through them, they help with everything you ask for.
The rooms are huge (we booked the one with a balcony, not really necessary) and everything is nice and clean.

Friendly and generous
We enjoyed staying here because the hotel owners are very friendly and generous. They really made us feel at home. Rooms are tidy and clean. Their food is strange but very tasty, and we got the chance to eat with the owners' family. You'll have to use chopstick to eat :) Remember to bring a good pair of shoes if you're going to visit some attractions here.
