My husband and our 18mth old son Stayed for 5days at the Outriggers. On arrival we were offered a fruit drink. After having to endure a long flight and a 1.5hr bus drive to the hotel, it was exactly what i needed. Our rooms were ready and waiting for us.
The pool was well layed out. A bit disappointed with the beach. It had too much coral hence cant swim in it. But hey, it aint called the coral coast for no reason!
Food was very expensive. Breakfast cost about FJD$70, dinner FJD$100. On our 2nd day we discovered Le Cafe and Johnnys' Taxi where the cost is half that at the Outriggers. They are located along the beach which is a 2min walk. down from the Outriggers.
The garden was well maintained.
Not much to do except to sit back and relax.
Overall a great Holiday. You will definitely see us again!

| "A very nice resort hotel, beautifully laid out and on a fairly nice beach with a shallow lagoon in front of a reef.
The rooms are extremely good and well-equipped and Fijian service, though a little slow at times, is wholly customer-oriented without any expectations of tips. Good activities staff, keeping everyone amused and entertained. Nice big pool and surrounds and a very polynesian feel to it all.
Breakfast good, but the local birds do help themselves to the buffet, and your food, if left unattended. Menu choice for lunch and dinner is tasty, but limited and can be a little expensive. The addition of some basic 'steakhouse' type menus to the Pizza/Pasta/Stir-fry options would improve things (a neighbouring cafe was overflowing with dissident diners on most nights).
But all-in-all very good.

| "We have just returned from Outrigger Reef Resort in Fiji last week - WOW what an awesome place to stay. The BEST KID'S CLUB EVER we have experienced. We all fell in love with the staff they were excellent. My only concerns were the prices of food - please get a meal plan if your thinking of going (we didn't) and the restaurants are abit on the pricey side if your not used to restaurant eating. For example a typical day, b/fast, lunch & dinner=$80-90 each adult, but some clues...a cheap little mini-mart place right next door is great for drinks & munchies etc, also has a taxi or minibus for heaps cheaper than the resort into Sigatoka where we stocked up at the local supermarket, (We should have done this ALOT SOONER!!!) Overall very nice, but wish someone had written reviews for us to read before we went.

| "Set in an enchanting garden, Outigger Reef Fiji Resort has received the first AAA five star deluxe rating in Fiji. Freindly staff always have a smile on their face. If you want to do some shopping then you've come to the right place, they have lots of options and if they don't have what you want in the resort then take a short ride to the town of Sigatoka and shop there. Enjoy the white sandy beach and the clear blue sea. If sea is not your thing then enjoy the biggest pool in the South Pacific. Whatever you want to do Outrigger Reef Fiji Resort caters for you." |
