A great hotel, with spectacular views. I got a great deal with this websitem, stayed here in June, 2004 and enjoyed it immensely. To its credit, the hotel maintained a sense of calm and serenity during the frenetic film festival. The front desk upgraded us to a very beautiful room with a partial ocean view and a large balcony, just because I asked for a complimentary upgrade before arriving. The gym has a beautiful view but is lacking in equipment and facility. The public spaces are gorgeous but there is no shopping in the hotel itself; not even a sundries shop to purchase last-minute essentials. The room itself was well-appointed, quiet and had a great climate control. To use the hotel's beach you must pay $25/day; probably smarter to use a free beach on either side. The location is great and the exterior facade is breathtaking. …" |

This is THE place to be in Cannes and the service and comfort demonstrate this in every way. If you can afford it, there is no other choice. A great hotel, with spectacular views. The only difficult part to swallow is the expense to swim at their beach, even as a guest staying at the hotel." |

| "The hotel remains a great location from which to enjoy Cannes, and the service is tops. My wife and I returned to the Carlton again this summer. Some room for improvement is evident on the beach scene (stroll down and see The Martinez for good example of what a top hotel beach scene should look like) and no pool is a drawback. Food/Drink prices are at times insane - regardless of how much money you have. However there are so many areas within walking distance to enjoy outdoor happy hours and great cuisine. It is valued hotel. " |
