Hotel Review posted by Ary, Finland in August 2004

I just return from 3 nights stay at the Inter-Continental hotel, it was probably one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. The room was great, the interior decor top notch and the breakfast buffet was simply amazing they had everything anyone could ever want to eat and the breakfast buffet was incredible!.

Check-in service was fluently done in English. The location is good too, cause the bridge dividing the town is very near and you have easy access to both the old-town and the downtown with big glass buildings.. For the value trip in Frankfurt, we recommend to stay here it is a great place to enjoy your trip.

"The hotel is in 2 sections separated by a street. That is ons side of each looks down onto the street. The respective other sides either look out over the river Main or downtown. We found the walk into the main retail areas a trifle too far (about 20 mins) and there is no public transport (trams or buses) nearby whilst the station(in other direction) is still a good walk away. For the price, particularly for the river view, there are better and more ccntral hotels. We changed rooms after the first night because of the warm weather when the air conditioning was far below normal standards for a torrid night. We had to pay extra for our new room. Apparently at checkin it is not run of the house for an Asia Rooms reservation"

"The staff upon check in were absolutely marvellous, very courteous. The hotel was only 15 minutes from airport and 10 minutes to the Ole Opera which was great to shop around. The choice of breakfast was fablous althogh the dinner menu was not so great. I would defintely recomend this hotel to anyone going to Frankfurt. I may also, add that asiarooms, were well received at the hotel, my voucher and details were there before my arrival. "

"This is an outdated property that has guest rooms seperated into two seperate towers, one of which is across the street from the main hotel lobby. Amenities in the hotel are not clean. I have seen better airport lounges. My room was below average compared to other 4 star properties, especially other Intercontinental properties. It was small, and modestly appointed. Mildew was present in the shower tub area, water stains on the ceiling in the bathroom from the room above. Overall I would rate this property very low and will stay elsewhere next time in Frankfurt."

"I was extremely satisfied with my staying at the intercontinental. The hotel was very well situated at the central of the city. Just walking only 5 minute from to the train station and just a few block from the tram station to the main shopping area. The room was real spacious and the amenities were functional luxury. There was mini bar, satellite/cable TV, large bath and elaborate breakfast buffet. Fabulous view of the river from the rooms too. Probably one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in."
